Entourage

Whalberg's cameo was the best part IMO,

"What the **** is The Truth About Charlie?"

:hehe:

Not a bad episode tonight. The golf scene with Whalberg was great. When Ari went walking through the office, took the guy's phone and threw it too the ground was hilarious as well. :lmao:

Hahaha I forgot about that...that was hilarious.

This ep was much better than the premiere. That was also a pretty different kind of scene between Ari and Vince. Didnt see that coming. Vince wants to be an actor, Ari would only call him a "star."

Best scene was when Ari had Lloyd pull the plug on the projector to get him out of that screening and he starts ranting about "getting the ****ing projector fixed." LOL

did they ever say why Entourage was only a 1/2 hour? as opposed to almost everything else HBO does which is an hour?

curb is only a half hour also.

but i think i like it better being broken into 25-30 min episode, quicker to get through, and makes it more interesting i think. Although i would definitely watch it just the same if it was an hour long.

i feel bad for michelle...i mean mershella(sp?). I want to give her a special hug.

Always leave em wanting more?

I find episodes of Entourage fly by. Just when things start to get good, the episode ends. I don't remember the last time I haven't wanted to watch more after an episode ended.

this week's was great. probably better than the premier.

Yeah the 1/2 hour is perfect. It keeps the show going and its never really "slow." Stuff goes down every episode just about. Except the past 2 season premieres.

Most comedies are only a 1/2 hour while dramas are full hrs which goes for all television. The saying: "No such thing as a long joke"

i think vinnie should just do the indie movie and **** arie

Ari ***** slapping Adam Davies

I love that Ed Norton wants to do the fire movie.

Thats obviously what theyre builder to.

To tell you the truth, its bad agency on Aris part. No one in Hollywood wants to give Vince a job. Vince does an indie (which are primarily seen by 2 kinds of people cinephiles and other filmmakers). The indie can be a show of confidence to the other filmmakers to invest in Vince. Indies are also usually get good word of mouth since they tend to reign over festivals and slip into award shows.

I hope we get an Ed Norton cameo this season.....

I thought it was a strong beginning to the season. Vince in the first episode is completely oblivious to the world and I like seeing him get back on the saddle and taking things seriously. I also am looking forward to the falling out I see coming between Vince and E over the firefighting project when Ed Norton makes it an Oscar-movie that Ari made Vinnie turn down.

As for favorite moments in the first three episodes:

1. A real conversation between Ari and Vince. Vince asks Ari point blank "Do you think I'm a good actor" after Ari was dodging the topic by calling Vinnie a movie star. And Ari's reply: "It remains to be seen."

2. Ari storming over to Davies' office and screaming for him and then *****-slapping him/making a fool of him in front of all his employees. Hilarious. Ari then rushes home and tells his wife they're going upstairs and she asks "Are you still taking me to dinner," and he replies "At this point, I seriously doubt it" and she just responds "Okay."

3. Vince being reduced to going to a Sweet 16 party and singing the Four Seasons, then Drama gets into it. And when they and the whole room looks like it is having a great time, Drama pukes all over the cake, cue Vinnie looking like "Aw, **** this is going to be bad publicity" and then Frankie really comes up.

Three classic Entourage moments already.

wasnt a huge fan of this episode. Not all too much really happened outside of Ari's little tet-a-tet with Davies, and although its amusing it doesnt make a complete episode. I dont know maybe Ari's shtick is just starting to wear on me. The B-Day party scene was amusing but didnt really do much other than to illustrate that Vince is hard up for cash which we already knew.

We already knew he was hard for cash but hadn't seen it affect his personal or professional life. The scene was necessary for dramatic and comedic purposes. Also, it was hilarious and at the end of the day, this is a comedy show.

I feel people sometimes forget that.
