Entourage

I don't quite get Vince's logic of "completing this journey" with Ari. What the hell does that mean.

Ari's a jerk but at the end he was being honest, upfront, and genuine with Vince. He wants to help Vince's career get back on track and that's part of the motivation for taking the studio job.

I mean the other thing is that Ari might not work as a studio head and might buckle under the pressure and responsibility. Plus there's the whole thing with Mrs. Gold now being aware of Dana Gordon's past with Ari, which I'm at least glad she's no longer ignorant of.

If you look at the show, most of the biggest mistakes and blunders in Vince's career are really because of Vince.

How does Ari taking a studio job end his journey with Vince? Makes no sense. I don't think Ari really needed Vince's permission to take the job. The climax made it seem like they were a couple that's about to break-up because they wouldn't last a long distance relationship. C'mon.

I'm praying that Ari takes this job. I love the show, but i'd like to see more growth out of some of the characters. This would be perfect for him.

i agree...i don't see how ari becoming a studio head would change anything.

and on Vince firing Ari, he had every right to, and Ari knew it. it was pretty clear and obvious from even before he fired Ari that he would be hiring him back again.

don't get me wrong...he deserved to get fired. but you can't have your cake and eat it. if he really meant that much to you, you shouldn't have fired him. now he wants a new better job, and he has a problem with it?

we dont know if he had a problem with it or not, it was just an incredibly surprised reaction and he was speechless. he didnt seem to care too much after.

true...but i figured it was one of those read between the lines kinda thing.

i thought it was too, until vince shut the window when ari was waving at him, then i felt like vince didnt think much of it.

Vince thought a lot of it. "You got to do what you got to do." "Completing our journey together." It's almost like they were gay lovers about to break up or something.

Not really...Ari has been pushing Vince in a certain direction career wise, and Vince has always fought. Now Vince is at an all time low and needed Ari's help and he is off to become the head at Warners. I got the impression that Vince wanted to get back to the top and wanted to do it with Ari not to mention he needs his help.

One apsect of sunday's episode that is going unnoticed seems to be Jeffery Tambor's cameo. I thought it was brilliant

TAMBOR WAS AMAZING!

Also, I think Vince is just scared that Ari will get so bogged down in the responsibilities of studio head that he will not be there for him. Ari is everything to Vince's career, at least to Vince. You can tell someone you'll always be there for them but with a job like that, I don't think its possible. So I totally understand where Vince is coming from. On the other hand, Ari as the head of WB could work if he also does a lot of cross-studio dealings.

"My man, Vinnie Chase, is perfect for that role over at Paramount," etc...

My money is on he gives the job to Dana Gordon to make up for every time he ever screwed her, literally and figuratively.

This is the only part of your statement that I agree with

You're lucky I'm not banning you. :cmad:

Tambor was great as always... please God bring on the Arrested Development movie!

im quite sure matt was just joking donk.

and Gary Cole is joining the cast next season...that's going to be fantastic

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Ari Gold has a friend. Who knew?

Gary Cole is set to join HBO's comedy "Entourage" as a regular next season, playing Hollywood agent Andrew Klein, Ari's (Jeremy Piven) oldest Hollywood friend from their early days in the business.

Cole is introducing the character this season in a three-episode arc slated to air in November.

"Entourage," which is halfway though its fifth season, recently was picked up for a sixth season to begin production in early 2009 for a summer launch.

Cole recently co-starred in the Judd Apatow-produced "Pineapple Express" and on ABC's "Desperate Housewives." In November will join the cast of the Steppenwolf Theater Company production of "August: Osage County" at London's National Theater.
