And NOW we know! Title posted at K-Site. Commence excitement.

- The term "Lazarus" has been used before on the series, in Season Three, where it was a serum that brought a deceased human back to life for 12 hours, as had happened with Adam Knight. It's also well-known in the DC Comics universe as the "Lazarus Pit" is a term used in Batman comics, usually associated with Ra's Al Ghul. The Pit has rejuvenating abilities that can render someone youthful and nearly immortal. The fourth season premiere of Supernatural was titled "Lazarus Rising" and was about Dean's return to the world of the living, and of course there is the Lazarus referred to in the Christian Bible, a man who was restored to life by Jesus in the Book of John. Perhaps one or all of these things are clues on how Clark will survive his fall.

Smells like a mini-tribute to the Death of Superman arc from the comics. Perhaps Clark really dying and the whole episode is dedicated to bringing him back? Of course, this means they have to bring Jonathan Kent as a ghost or something, like in the Return of Superman arc. Oh, the possibilities!

Yep. Sounds obvious at this point that it'll be Clark taking a dirt nap & the others finding a serum to bring his ass back to life. Sounds pretty generic to me, but I'll reserve my full on cynicism for the actual plot Synopsis. We got a title atleast, HAPPY DAYS!

Steve

Hopefully not a serum but something else, something better. But I truly want them to include nods to the comics trilogy about Superman's death in the 90s.

I just read about the title myself. I agree cool title. Cant wait to see where things go with premiere.

I wasn't thinking about Clark coming back from the dead, but more on the lines of Tess. She did die, and the little old lady has got to do something to bring her back.

Great title. I really don't think Clark is going to die though. My first thought was actually about Tess being resurrected. I'm also certain that it pertains to Clark but in a metaphorical way. In "Doomsday" he said, "Clark Kent is dead." Then season nine was the darker side of Clark. That side of him is dead, too. This is the resurrection of the classic Clark Kent we all know. **** yeah!

I like that idea!

Personally, I first thought of Supernatural's season 4 premiere, which was to shown Dean coming back to life, so I think there is a resurrection theme of some sort. I'm wondering though, if Clark falls and lands, wouldn't his body go splat? I mean he could remove the Blue K before the impact and survive but appear dead, although that reminds me more of how Superman was thought to be dead in the end of Superman Returns, since he too fell straight to the ground after some weakening exposure to kryptonite.

He has to. If he didn't there would be no Season 10 :word:

Maybe Tess is restored back to life by a Lazarus Pit or perhaps Lex Luthor .

No Lazarus pit or any other Batman element will take part in Smallville as long as the movie series is still going. I think we all know that for a very long time.

^ This.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be a reference to Tess' resurrection, and Clark's new lease on life.

And hopefully a tease of Lex coming back to life

I've got it!

"Bone of the father (Lionel), unwillingly given"

"Flesh of the servant (Otis or Toyman) Willingly sacrificed"

"Blood of the enemy (Clark) Forcibly taken"

And TA DA: You have Lex!

I wonder if Clark will be resurrected by DarkSied the same as Tess with DarkSied wanting him to be his 'knight', Clark refuses and the result is DarkSied sending a series of super powered hit men and schemes to kill or trap Clark someone as he starts for his war on Earth.

Great title, I'd love to see this happen just to see Pa Kent again.

Didn't Dr. Fate say Lex was still alive last season during Smallville: Absolute Justice?

yea i personally hope we dont have clark die again it would be what his 5th time or something. I rather it be clark is saved by hawkman or john jonez, the book of rao is taken off the consle and we go from there. Hopefully we get more details soon. As for resuraction it will probably just be Tess via granny goodness. Which i do still think they might turn tess into a female furies. It would be an interesting dynamic to go with the character.

You cant have a season premiere title evolve solely around Tess.... that would be just wrong. :csad:

i know i know, like someone else said it will probably be a metaphorical thing for clark being resuracted and tess is the only one who died and is brought back to life. Hopefully it will be cleared up once we have some episode details.

If they do go with killing Clark off and the episode being about bringing him back to life I think the best thing to use to do that would be the Chrysalis in the Fortress. It was not only used to bring Clark back to life after his fight with Doomsday but also Conner/ Superboy in Final Crisis Legion of Three Worlds.

Lets face it Clark is going to die, again, because he cant pull the blue kryptonite dagger out or he's going to follow the rest of his people to that new world. That mean this is going to be his what is it, third fourth death in the series. I dont mind this much, as long as they do something cool to bring him back. Hence the Chrysalis, and not just getting him close to the sun and J'onn losing his powers again. And as much as I'd like to see her again in the Season Opener if she comes to save Clark she's getting sucked up in the gold light as well.

It would also be cool if the one that comes to retrieve Clarks body is the Eradicator, they could say that Jor-El inplanted him as a final fail safe to keep Clark safe.

Also if it was Granny Goodness (And I highly hope it was!) outside Tess' room they could have her return her to Apokolips where Dr Bedlam clones Tess into one of his Animates and they then return her to earth where Darkseid can spy on Clark and his allies.

If they do go this route it would cool to see Darkseid capture The Eradicator and turn him to his side, then force him and Clark (Superman Hopefully!!!!) into fighting each other.

Heres a possible costume for The Eradicator based on rumors of Clarks costume from last year.

It sounds plausible due to both Tess and Clark looking to be needing of a good ressurection.

I thought the portal closed as soon as Zod went through...
I'm gonna have to watch it again.
