Episode 12 - "Godsend" - Discussion Thread

It's simlar to Lost in that they're serialized and involve mostly a core group of characters from different backgrounds drawn together. The mystery and clue stuff isn't much different than alot of other shows.

The time skip is the real reason I compared them in the first place. Since Lost often works backwards.

I'm actually surprised it took this long to get to invisibility

Which reminds me, the Claude/Peter scene was awesome.

Can't wait for more of Eccleston, and seeing him take Peter under his wing

A shapeshifter?

o thats an interesting concept i didnt think of. they did focus on the bug a little.

but a shapeshifter? that seems a little to cheesy for a full grown person to turn into a little insect. maybe it can be someone who can communicate to/through insects. id like that idea better then an animorph, its more "realistic"

Good Animorph analogy  Maybe Sylar can communicate w/ bugs and he's orchestrating an escape.

That got me thinking that if Sylar really 'eats' the heroes brains to gain their powers(speculative), maybe in his stupor he will eat the cockroach, gaining some kind of insect immunity to human drugs, enabling him to snap out of his haze.

Claire's dad was talking some mess about using the people on the list to control all the people w/ powers but I don't get it.

...time to break out my Lost detective kit.

it's one of those "wait and see" things. or in other words "wait till the writers think of something"

I think Mr. Bennett wants the list to find who has the special abilities and control them like he did with Eden.

Hiro is awesome. It was great when he saw Nathan & he shouts out
"FLYING MAN" :woot:
Ha ha! Hiro is hilarious.

"I saw you...you go WOOOOOSHH!!!!"
"Shh...quiet down."
"Oh sorry...wooosh!"

BTW, does anybody have any ideas about the cockroach in Sylar's cell and if it's there for a reason?
it's just a visual joke/analogy/metaphor referencing a comment made earlier in the series about cockroaches.

i'm sure there's a Lost forum on the internet somewhere, and this ain't it. let's try to keep the discussion relevant to a) the topic of the thread, and b) the show. :whatever:

then you haven't been watching the show. :whatever: what do you think he's been doing with Eden, the Haitian, etc.?

LOL, that was funny. Hiro is one of my favorite characters on the show. :D

pretty tough to tell. she was passing back and forth pretty quickly. it was definitely nikki's reaction, but i'm not sure that it was nikki's action.

How dumb was it that DL was phasing through the glass with that prison guard standing there watching them the whole time?

Plus, I hate the TV/movie cliche where everyone has to scream when they jump/fall. As usual, it didn't make any sense here either.

wtf can't work for Primatech unless you have a cel phone? I dont believe in Cels

I was wondering about that myself as well. It was fairly obvious....
