Episode 11 - "Fallout" - Discussion Thread

It was obvious that Eden was going to die. SHH reported that the actres who played Eden was only on Heroes for an arc.

Yay! Her own series!

Well, she's going to play Athena on a film called "Remarkable Power". Fitting.

I don't read spoilers....my wife and I were actually SHOCKED she died...

that doesn't mean death
her argument with Mr. Bennet could have caused her to "quit" so to speak and she goes off to do her own thing
i dont know

I have 2 questions....

Did Mr. Bennet know about these powers before Suresh told him or did he just find out and then decide to put this whole program together to get all of the heroes? And if he knew for a while then Suresh wasn't the only person doing the research on this.

And 2nd question....What exactly is Sylar's power? I know he can do a bunch of things because he takes the power from other people but what is his original power? Is it the power to absorb other people's powers permanently and if not can other people do the same if they decide to rip out people's brains too?

Sorry for the questions...no one probably has the answers yet but i figured this would be the place to go.

Sylar understands inately how complex systems work, and can isolate what does what. Thus, he can understand what parts of the brain work to give an individual their powers and either steal that peice or fix his own brain to give him that power.

Bennet knew before Suresh told him. He told Issac as much a while ago when it turned out that Claire is the daughter of one of the special people that he had worked on that died. He went to Suresh to see how much he knew about Claire because he doesn't want anybody to know about her.

Mr Bennett knew about them at least 14 years before the events in the 1st episode and had been working with a mysterious organization apparently, tracking, studying and employing powered people, it seems that Chandra Suresh developed a better way to track them

Gabriel Gray or Sylar, has the power to see how things work, how they are put together and how to fix them, it seems he opens people in order to assimilate their mutations into himself

go to nbc.com to download all the episodes, or wait till january 1st for the Heroes Marathon for further information

I don't read contract negotiation type stuff, ruins the show for me.
The sad thing is I've been working on a comic that has a guy with very similar powers as Sylar.

Bloody America! Gotta wait until almost the end of January for episode 12 because of the damn Xmas hiatus of all shows over there! Same with Lost for us in the UK. We have to wait three months or something for the next episode on Skyone, simply because America shuts down TV over virtually the entire winter season!

It's frickin cold and rainy out there during winter - so people are largely inside in the evenings, and we need good TV; not endless re runs of old friends episodes, and Stargate SG-1! Or a bloody "catch up" of the episodes so far as a poor man's excuse for not showing an entire season of one show in a single run.

and I think pete is adapting to the powers
so now his body can keep little bits of the powers

I don't know.

Is not the first time he predicts the future, he did it in the past with his brother and him flying and with the death of his sick pacient.

hey! my Monday was empty without Heroes too!
we'll make it....i hope

Ahh, we just don't understand the freakish American scheduling over here in the UK. I told my mate yesterday (whom I record lost for nowadays and give him the vid monday as he doesnt have Sky, and they nicked it from Channel 4 and E4) that because of the American scheduling, Sky wouldnt be showing the next episode until almost the end of February. Neither of us gets why though...

Mondays are so grim now...unless we start getting the older episode. I hope NBC does show the old episodes. Did anyone notice that when they did the marathon on Sci-fi some scenes were cut out?

That's what I like about UK TV. None of this silly hiatus nonsense. A lot of the time the UK runs end up catching up to the US runs due to all the breaks.

The last season of Charmed was only an episode or two behind in the UK, despite having started four months later.

Yeah but does Peter have the power to create an explosion that big?
Atleast by himself?

Well, he was able to use Isaac's power without heroin when Isaac could only do it chasing. I think he'd be able to power it.

THEORY:

He already saved the cheerleader, thus preventing Sylar from becoming invincible.

Maybe he'll save the world by leeching Radioactive Man's powers and... I dunno, imploding instead of going boom. Like a self-sacrifice.

Or maybe not.

I agree...it was a very bleak monday. =(
Now all I have to look forward to is Daybreak (which I love mind you)
Unless that's reruns now too?? ACK!!
