Episode 13 - "The Fix" - Discussion Thread 1/29/07

But Peter has never met Ted, nor was Ted in his vision.

lol yeah that and the small problem of Ted being on the run, in hiding, and or possibly captured

Im guessing after the explosion Claire's mom went into hiding and thats why she now appears to be living in a trailer
I mean really if you set off/were in a massive explosion and reported dead or even known to have been there I would have gone into hiding as well
Im thinking she used to be important

I quite liked Hiro and Ando hiding under the SUV lol

AWESOME ep tonight. Looks like we got out flamer, aka Claire's mama. I wonder, is she the flamer in Isaac's painting?

Well that's brings about an interesting possiblity. Claire mouths 'I'm sorry' in Peter's vision, right? What if she introduces Peter to her mom and he absorbs her flame powers, and it's those powers he can't control. It would then make sense for Claire to say 'I'm sorry.'

This episode was pretty boring.
i agree. i'm all for character development and investing in them and all...but nothing happened until the very end. it was so dull.

I know most won't agree with me, but the one thing I think is bringing down this show is Hiro. I would enjoy it much more if the silly stuff with Hiro and Ando was written out. Claires, Nikis, and everyone elses storys are gripping and dramatic, I just role my eyes when he comes on screen. It's just very cheesy.

Love where Claires story is going. Next weeks preview looks very interesting.
Hiro's the only character that's happy and excited to have his super powers. he's the representation of the comic geek community in the show.

Niki's story bores me to tears lately. Micah and his daddy are dull without her, and when Jessica's locked up...

that's the trouble with such a big cast. not enough time for things to move along quickly.
the cast is getting RIDICULOUS!
i'm not sure i'll be able to keep up with this show if they keep adding more and more people to it. there's a point where the cast is just going to get beyond control. :down

ATMs have cameras, he's gonna get busted.
not really. his power could've cancelled out the electronic equipment in the camera.

I wanna see what that little boy's power is specifically
technopath

Well the guy's arm was very hairy...

Claire's dad must be Robin Williams !!! :woot:

So HRG noticed the Haitians thing that Claire forgot to take out of the window. I wonder what the fallout from that is going to be.

I say Linderman is clairs daddy
and I also believe in the clairs mom making pete blow up idea..

one thing that made me laugh was SULU as Hiro's dad lol

That was an awsome episode. Probably my favorite...lots of cool drama.
I feel sorry for the shrink...shes playing with fire :D
And Im so glad sylar is finally out of there and Michah is using his powers.

Another boring-as-$hit episode. Nice of them to show us the big final scene in a preview to take away any potential shock value.

I have a deep resenment for those not understanding the simple measures of what Heroes writers are trying to attain in order to keep character development, story line, continuity up. Its quite frustrating reading some of these delusional comments. Its easier to bash something that you don't understand, or that you don't like about it. Its showing a world that is evolving to a whole different level, of many peoples lives being changed for better or for worse.

The emotional struggle that rips families apart, brings strangers together, and a fight to make a difference from the unknown terrors that seek to inhabit are day to day routine. Its more than just thinking outside the box, its literally knocking over traditional conventions of your everyday action/drama.

Yes, we all know that there is alot of upcoming cast to the show. What I have to say about that is, thank you, because it would totally recourse the meaning of Heroes. Life for most is unbearable, enjoy the simple joys of a world that we will never see unfold in reality, created your bias carefully though. Cause in the end, its the ones that actually are making a difference will see things alot clearer.

I think this episode was kind of boring because for the first time since the show came on I wasn't glued to the tv, usually when it comes on I do nothing else last night I was do multiple things. But as someone else said all the episodes arent going to amazing writers need breaks sometimes. Overall I really liked the episode. I loving Claires story and her mom is a really cool thats the one power i always wanted to have.

Remember when Zack and Claire were talking and Zack mentioned she might have an eccentric uncle or something? If Nate is her dad, then his younger brother (Crazy Pete) would be her uncle.

But yeah, I dunno.

That's the first thing I thought of - "An uncle - great" *rollseyes* Ha! It's been suggested in various threads that Claire will have some kind of relationship with Peter, but he's likely too old date her and too young to have fathered her (not impossible, but unlikely). That would give her the support she's looking for - real family, someone else who wants answers, someone struggling with their power.

Really? i dunno, i disagree. I mean she had a basic idea of where the fire was, i mean really how many fires happened in that year in that area where it invovled a baby? Sure the process was speed up but it was Speeded in TV land where it's should be forgivable given the time span, IMO anyways. I for one don't see any majore holes yet.

I thought it was either Nathan or Linderman.

You read my mind

But Peter has never met Ted, nor was Ted in his vision.

Exactly! What are the chances of him waking from a nightmare/premonition of Claude and then seeing him as soon as he leaves the hospital? I'd be bothered if he didn't question it, he wants answers. Leap? Not so huge. Peter has been making "leaps" since the pilot. He wants to believe he has a greater a purpose and will believe anything that supports that. He jumps off the frickin' roof because he thinks he can fly, even though he doesn't remember actually controlling flight. He's a dreamer literally and figuratively; he does have dreams/visions and he's that dreamy kid who thinks he can save the world.

Why would the Haitian give Claire the windchime if HRG recognizes it? How would HRG know it was anything other than a regular windchime unless the Haitian informed him?

All in all it was a decent episode, the preview seemed a bit distorted, I expected Hiro's father to play more of a role in the episode instead of seeing him more than 20 seconds.

^^That's usually how it is in comics, the dramatic entrance on the last page.

Just FYI to those saying Linderman is the dad nope nada Tim K said it was a person we have already seen so that rules him out.
I am guessing Nathan based on the shirt arm shot we saw and the crazy uncle part hint.

Great episode. That's how we roll. Felt really sorry for Matt, he and his wife were so happy they got pregnant, is that a paid six month suspension? I would kill for a paid six month suspension. Sylar coming back with how's Claire? was so creepy. George Takei is Hiro's dad, priceless. I'm the invisible man, I'm Claude Rains. This just keeps getting better.

I realy don't know about the rest of you, but this show is getting better with each episode, enough character development, but not too much, and the ever exapanding backstory of a very underground world running parallel to ours regarding all those with abbilities, it's a truly great show

I'm sorry for all the ADD'ed people who can't bother to retain attention for more than 45 seconds to enjoy a great show

and I'm with the Nate theory

(promise to self, I've gotta stop browsing spoilers, they're ruining my show viewing experience)

holy shyte what an episode

claire's mom= female human torch?
I'm calling it now...linderman is claires papa
hey claire..take the chimes from the window next time, thank you
micah you rock..you rock hard lil playa

I thought I saw Ted in Peter's vision but maybe I was mistaken. I just rewatched it and it was Isaac.

It's more than a huge leap, it's a MAJOR assumption and one nobody would ever make in real life. Nothing Claude did in his vision gave off a "Hey, I can train you!" vibe.

More like Pyro, IMO

Matt just wanted his marriage back...and his wife knows she did wrong. They are trying to patch things up.

Now the twist would be if the baby is not Matt's.

^^another man stuck his schlong in matt's wife and he wants to just patch it up.Cheating is totally unforgiveable in my eyes...thats just something ya cant come back from.I'm chopping my wife's and the lover's heads clean off if i were matt.P#%y.
I hope the baby isnt his..show some spine

^Haha, his wife is turning into a jerk too. Always naggin about the pipes......I think she's gotten more than enough pipe since she's been married
