You guys know the drill.

Wtf? What happened to "I found him on the street, feeding on the homeless" version of Whistler and Blades meeting?

..btw, cool to see how Whistler gets his trademark limp though!

OH lord this show is not going to last.

I was thinking the same thing?! It was cool getting a chance to see Whistler but the show is having trouble keeping things consistent.

I unfortunately missed last week's episode but this episode was good. It was cool seeing the flashbacks scenes. I don't know what to think about Krista turning her mother...

Nice cliffhanger with the FBI agent. Krista has to kill that chick, or her covers blown. She said she followed Krista all night, so does that mean she knows where Blade's hideout is?

Next week looks sssssoooooo kickass, and we get to see some nudity...plus Chase's bare ass!

Well, Blade didn't exactly go with Whistler. So maybe he hooks up with Bokeem's gang, turns them, fast forward a few years, he realizes that he doesn't want to feed off humans anymore, and then Whistler finds him on the street.

Whistler's limp origin was cool.

I'd like to see them keep the Whistler flashbacks around. Maybe different periods of Blade's early life with him, his training, etc. Not something they need in every episode, maybe 2-4 times spread out over a season. Heh, I love this show...

The show is getting better every week. Spike would be nuts to nix it.

Yeah, that's the way I saw it. What Whistler says about feeding off humans is when Blade starts training with Whistler, he never said that was the first time he met Blade.

I agree. It started out kinda slow but now i am really enjoying it. Plenty of great subplots going on.

Hey, even Buffy made changes when it became a series, and like I've said, I like that they're filling in gaps the movie left. I'm sure they'll have Whistler catching up with Blade after he's been with Razor's gang. Damn, kid-Blade was VICIOUS!!!

Next weeks episode definitely looks interesting. I didn't think Krista would actually follow through with turning her mother!! I figured Blade made show up and talk some sense into her. But damn!! And now there's the FBI agent staring two vamps in the face!! The season is winding down, so I guess it makes sense that he'd find out now.

And yes, Chase's bare ass is LOVELY!!

So Blade learned karate/martial arts from that one guy he saved from getting robbed? Even though that guy was killed off by that black guy in tonights episode I hope they show him learning Blade his martial arts skills in a later epsiode or flashback sequence.

wow this weeks episode was really good. Cant wait till next week, to see ole gurls dunk.

Another terrific installment. The flashback stuff was pure gold. Watching young Eric/Blade rip into the IV bag was awesome. The action scene with the robbers and the subsequent bashing of Whistler's leg was brilliant.
The new plot twists with Krista's mom and Blade's dad just added spice to the mix. Those should play out well. The comic relief from Shen was cool too.
My only criticism of the show was the fight scene between Steppin' Razor and Blade. Being that both men are about the same height, build and they are both bald, it was kind of hard to follow the action in the dark. I'm going to have to watch that scene a few times to sort out the fight's structure. I'm sorry to see SR/Woodbine leave so soon too.:(
My favorite line of the night ( may not be exactly worded )

Steppin' Razor: "Looks like it's just you and me."
Blade: "In a second, it will just be me."

I was wondering that to.
That actually kinda made me mad that the show didn't live up to that, because it's not like "the TV show is based off of the movies" or anything.

Btw, I geekasmed when I saw the younger Whistler.
The episode was alright for me this week.

They can still save that storyline in future episodes. Since Whistler tired to shoot young Blade, this could be the point where he joins the Bad Bloods then goes out on his own after killing them. Then, Whistler meets up with him later when Blade is feeding on the homeless.
Remember the deleted scene form Blade 2 where Blade & Whistler meet? That scene doesn't work with the series storyline now but it does show that Blade & Whistler's alliance wasn't orignally intended to take place until Blade was 13 or 14. So all the puzzle pieces can be put together if Goyer wants to make it all work.

It actually works out better, 'cause the flashback that was supposed to be in Blade 2 seems rather sudden. Whistler, a vampire hunter, just happens to stumble upon Blade as a child, realizing he's only half vampire? The way the series works, it would make more sense for Whistler to be actively seeking Blade after that first encounter. Blade's father, feeling guilty about the whole thing, could tell Whistler not to mention to Blade that he lived, thinking it might be better, at that time, to stay out of his life.

Sad to see Steppin' Razor gone, though. I figured he'd make for a good recurring villain.

That's pretty cruel to show the first Blade movie before the episode. Snipes was so awesome he makes Sticky look like a lightweight.

Whistler's limp origin was cool.

I thought Whistler got his limp from the vampire that attacked his family?

Or maybe that was the movie novelization.

Did anyone wonder about the scene where Blade's father stabs Steppin Razor through Blade's side? It was cool to see that Blade is immune to the titanium/silver his sword is made of (and this clears up the earlier discussions we had about whether Steppin razor was actually a daywalker) but i thought Blade's vest was bullet proof?
Are we to believe that Blade's father , a mere human, can push a sword through a bullet proof vest but yet bullets can't pierce the vest?

Oh, and i must saying it again, i can't wait to see Chase's bare ass. I have said it numerous times, she is way hotter/seductive than Krista imo!:D

BTW, really good episode. And it was great to meet Whistler. I'm curious to how he knows what Blade/Eric is. I thought Blade was the first Daywalker? I'm loving the flashback sequences. Blade's dad, I was wondering about him during the movie franchise. I wish stuff like this was explored more in the old franchise, but that's what the movies are for.

What is Steppin Razor's story? I think I missed that part.

I was hoping Krista wouldn't go through with the decision to turn her mom. Other than that it was a fun episode & I can't wait to see what happens next week.

I'm loving the urban and gritty look of Blade's flashbacks.

And Krista is quite an interesting character. Great insight on some of the vision abilities of a vampire.

I think if him trying to shoot Blade/Eric as a kid is any indication, he was approaching the situation as he would any other vampire. I don't think it was a matter of him having experience with Daywalkers.
