Anyone know the actress that played Isabelle, Marcus' wife?
A little trip to TV.com says Sarah Lind.

I noticed that as well but I just chalked it up to being a "white light" memory type of thing. It's a traumatic memory, not a recording.
Either way, in those Q&A threads it was claimed that they toy with the idea only direct sunlight will kill a vampire. The sun wasn't out in the flashbacks.

Great episode though. Screw Krista biting me. I'll take Marcus. :p

Blade is becoming more and more unappealing by the episode. I know he's supposed to be moody and grim, but it does get a little tiresome nine episodes in. It just makes it seem like there's no depth to his character. He remains, by far, the least interesting character in the entire show.

I like the fact they gave Shen a little more to do this time around. Added a little more understanding to his character.

Another thing i don't seem to like about Blade in the series is that nobody seems to fear him. Everybody's always talking smack to him. First Shen and Krista, and now the Asian lab chick who anaylzed the virus for them...wtf?

I found out something last night; WB aired the Smallville episode with the little girl who could control glass, & she was played by none other than the same girl who plays our favorite snotty little Pureblood.

But those three don't really have any reason to fear Blade. They're on his side. They've all helped him. He has to take what's thrown his way, and let's face it, he deserves it.

 That's like asking why Alfred or Commissioner Gordon don't fear Batman. His motif is meant to strike fear in his enemies, not his allies.

Are you guys kidding me? Would YOU talk smack to Blade?

I mean it just seems like they're doing it for the sake of it. Krista calling him an S.O.B at randomn. Blade in the movies would have given them a harsh tongue lashing like he did to Dr.Karen Jenseen when she prevented him from shooting Officer Kruger...

"The world you live in is just a sugar coated topping. There is another world beneath it; and if you wanna survive, you better learn to pull the trigger"!

That's the Blade i know. This Blade just stands there, like how Blade did when Hannibal King was cracking jokes in Blade:Trinity. I guess Blade's getting soft in his old age!

Blade never hits anyone unless they're an enemy. Knowing that makes him a little less fearsome if you're an ally. So yes, if I knew for a bona fide fact that he wasn't gonna do anything to me, sure I'd talk smack to him. I'm a sarcastic person so it'd just come naturally. He didn't do anything when Scud made his little remarks.
And I see absolutely no relevance between him chewing out someone who interfered w/him doing his job & not snapping off when somebody gives him lip.

You know what would be an awesome twist? If Krista completely turns on Blade 100% and he has to dust her. I know it won't happen because she's the lead character of the show (c'mon, we know WAY more about her and spend WAY more time with her than Blade), but it would be an awesome transition into making this an actual BLADE SERIES..

I think next week is as close as we'll come to something like that happening. Further proof that he's none too pleased w/her lately.

Da b**** is f***in' up, and it's time for tough love!

We have yet to see a face to face confrontation betwen Marcus and Blade! I'd like to see one like the one betwen Blade and Deacon Frost, in Blade 1. No combat, just witty talk about who's gonna win.

And what happened to Isabelle? She was bitten, raped and killed. Shouldn't she be a vampire now?

Either she is(and marcus never knew) or she was killed, bitten, and raped.

Wow, I hadn't seen that in awhile. Snipe's Blade has so much more style and flair, sortof like a darkly-heroic Errol Flynn. Sticky Jones just seems pissed off and angry all the time.

The episodes have been getting better and better though.

That made me laugh

....and cry at the same time.

very good episode but something that confused me:

* if marcus could ash a pure blood with just the silver in the native american axe why go through all the trouble of an aurora vaccine?
I thought they were true immortals?

great episode

for the record I don't think blade DOES have feelings for krista I think he is just hurt because he invested a lot of time in her and she has been nothing but trouble (turning her mum for instance) if I had to make a prediction I think this is where krista turns to the dark side, she was going to kill that night club jerk 'you leave, you die' before chase turned up and also she was drinking marcus' blood.

blade sad look was more 'oh you're turned bad I'm going to have to kill you now' look rather than a 'oh I fancied you but you've betrayed me' look.

as for sticky's lack of depth I don't mind it at all basically the most important part of a hero is the supporting cast they are almost more important than the hero, blade is a dark and complex character who refuses to let his feelings show. you would get similar performances if the lead character was judge dredd. sticky is acting no differently then snipes was in the movie it's just snipe's silent moody attitude has more charisma than sticky's silent moody attitude.

I can take a lot of focus being on blade's supporting cast because it is a series and as such his (blade's) time will come as it's HIS series but I had a REAL problem with the focus being on the supporting cast in trinity as I didn't think they (the supporting cast) were very interesting and also it's only a two hour movie so snipes was a co star in his own movie.
del torro handled the large cast much better.

anyway good episode and the confrontation between blade and krista will be VERY interesting now.

I think people are missing the point. Deacon Frost killed Dragonetti of the Pure Bloods simply by exposing him to sunlight. Pure Bloods may have something of an advantage but it's not an insurmountable one. It's just he doesn't want to get involved in a war.
