Girls think slapping a guy in the face really hurts them. I reply, "HA!"...cept for one time. This girl I was working with (whom I dated for a while) had a huge hickey and wasn't trying to hide it at all. I said something about someone not knowing how to control the vacuum cleaner during experimentation and she slapped me across my face (I didn't think that little comment warranted a slap but to each their own). The thing was...this chick had frikkin HUGE nails and when she slapped me she nailed me in my eye. So I'm on the floor and I CANNOT open my eyes for the life of me and she's all saying, "OH, I'm SOOO sorryyy...I didn't mean to". Yeah...

So my boss brings me to the hospital because I CANNOT open my eyes. The doc forces my eyes open and says I probably have a laceration on the surface, puts some weird type of eye drop dye in there and shines some sort of light (black light?) and sure enough...there's a horizontal scratch right across my eyeball. He gives me some pain numbing eye drop stuff and sends me home...and homegirl gets verbally counseled. I shoulda kicked her in the crotch.

The minute she started "joking" about having bruises, you should have known this conversation just went south. You really didn't know you were on thin ice?

Learn to recognize when someone is using "joking", just to get out something horrible they need to talk about.
