The Dark Knight EW.com Poll : Which actor will always be Batman to you?

Keaton, I think cause of his look and the "eyebrow acting" he gets jokes about sets him up as only Batman. Bale is more of just a decent actor to me than Batman. The other guys besides West are all just not the Batman I know. But I do think about it everytime I see them. Besides Clooney, I try to forget he was Batman.

1. Bale
2. Conroy
3. West
4. Keaton
5. Clooney
6. Kilmer - Kilmer IMO was a disgrace.

i think it's honestly a bit early to crown bale king of batman, but in the same respect he is the best batman, so what i am saying is i agree he is the best, but it is like crowning LeBron James the next great basketball player after a really impressive rookie season, has he continued to be awesome? yes of course, but if he would have dropped off in anyway those predictions would look kind of silly

so yeah Bales the best, and after the Dark Knight nothing will ever been said on this topic again unless in 20 years someone just completley owns the role, but if you where to top Bale you probobly would have to win Best Actor cause Bale is doing a great job

Who do you think I picked? Not only is he my hero, my inspiration as an actor. To go from a hyperactive morgue attendant, to a stay-at-home father, to a dying family man, a dark avenger of the night to four distinct different beings in one film.... Not to mention his turn as villains, both dead and alive. The greatest actor to ever grace the Earth, to go from comedy to drama and thrillers with absoluete ease. An actor who has been overlooked by the academy for far, far too long.

He didn't get Best Actor for Clean and Sober, he didn't get it for My Life, and if he doesn't get at least a nomination for Game 6, it will be proven that the Academy is full of hacks.

The man, the myth, the Keaton.

michael keaton , bale's good and all but keaton practically brought the original , late ' 30's batman ALIVE !!!

Very good way to state an opinion. I admire Keaton also. Greatly admire him. Just the other day I watched Multiplicity. Definitely one of the greatest comedies out there.

Hush, else he will terrorize us with another one of his suckass "Joker" pics. Oh the horror! :(

although Bale is clearly the definitive Batman that I've always wanted on screen, Michael Keaton will always be Batman in my eyes foremost

Michael Keaton is fourth rate to the comics Batman, third rate to Bale's Batman, and second rate to BTAS Batman. This comes from a fan who knew who Batman was before Keaton put on a Batsuit. If your word is law . . . then I defy you! If Keaton is Batman to you . . . then you're a fifth rate Bat-fan.

Wow. That's a nice, tolerant attitude.

I'll let you in on a secret, kiddo. The same can be said of YOUR opinion. That's what makes an opinion what it is. You're no more right than he is.

Some fan you are. It's the absolute truth, since Burton and Hamm looked to the 1939 material for B89.

I agree 100% with you, Michael Keaton is the best old school Batman we have ever seen - but did he "nail" that Batman like Bale nailed the recent Batman or West the classic corny Batman? I don't know.

I feel he sure did. Read Detective #27.... that's so Keaton's Batman it's not even funny.

And, to be fair, Keaton didn't get a chance to play the modern Batman.

But anyone who's seen Johnny Dangerously can tell you that Keaton makes a HELL of a playboy. I mean, it goes without saying that Keaton could pull anything off, but that the best example of him being a playboy/ladies man. I mean, he practically IS the modern Bruce Wayne in "Dangerously".

Shame he still isn't physically perfect. Though, take Keaton's "buffness" from Desperate Measures, and people would have been willing to forgive him being just average height.

Bale is great choice for Batman. The point pro-Keaton is that he wasn't the classic hadsome playboy and still did a good job.

But Adam West? What Batman version, campy or not, has a beerbelly?

And I say you can kiss my bat-fanboy ass. Keaton revived the character. If you can't appreciate that, let alone his brilliant performance, then you're just and idiot.

I'd say his posts alone qualify him for that title. :o

dude, why do you hate keaton so much ? what , just because he killed people in his bat - films he's not batman ? is THAT why you're being a pain in the ass ? listen dude , believe it or not at one point in the comics batman DID kill , hell in his very first appearance he killed somebody !!!! so quit your whining . people have their opinions.

Never said I hated Keaton. He was surprisingly a good Batman. And that "Burton's" Batman killed has nothing to do with it. Like I said before . . . I've been a Batman fan long before Keaton put on the suit. The comics made me a fan. Bale gave Batman an animalistic quality that is very much The Batman! None of the other actors including Keaton gave that in their Batman performance.
