Ex-Moon teacher charged in sending photos, texts to teen

A former Moon Area High School gym teacher and volleyball coach was arrested and charged with sending nude photos of herself and suggestive text messages to a 14-year-old male student, Moon police said. Beth Ann Chester, 26, of Scott was arrested Friday and charged with nine criminal counts, including three counts of child sexual abuse, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor and one count each of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal solicitation, according to Moon police and court records. Police said they plan to file an additional charge of statutory sexual assault against Chester.


The boy told police he thought he was in love with Chester and the only physical contact involved a hug just before holiday break, according to the police affidavit filed to support the criminal charges.
Jack Cambest, Moon's solicitor, said the matter is being handled by police and that the district will notify the state Department of Education this week, which is required by state law.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know where your going with this. I consider myself a realist though. In reality in "most cases" especially if the teacher is in her younger 20's, im going out on a limb here and guessing she's not grotesque. In most cases the boys don't mind, if I lost my virginity at that age with a cute/hot young teacher I wouldn't have minded.

With girls it's always the factor people have of it being considered "actual" taking advantage of. Kind of like how most rape cases are men raping woman and not the other way around. Seriously, the few rape cases were a man was raped by a woman had me laughing in tears. They were grown men mind you.

I don't know, basically my point is the boy is in the 14-16 range. I know how I was during my teens, but hey! some people are just late bloomers.

Reread what I added to previous post at the end. My original post was meant as a joke anyways which flew waay over your head even though it was obvious since I was quoting a standup comedian lol.

Yeah, if the boy screamed bloody murder/rape, yeah that would be horrible. I'll say again though, most boys in their teens know what they want from woman, so I don't see many boys in that kids situation screaming rape.

Statutory rape by teachers, people who we are entrusting with our kids' well being, safety and education, just isn't funny to me. Ever. What's so stupid with this though, is if this same kid took a sawed off shotgun and blew the teacher's head off after said act, he would have been tried as an adult. The law makes a case-by-case judgement on who is an adult in criminal cases, but not in consent cases.
