Exclusive Episode Descriptions For The Second Season Of "The Spectacular Spider-Man"

no clue and as i said before we dont know for sure or not if it will be the ricochet powers/costume from the comics or if they are just using the name for a nod to comic fans and all that.

Since Gwen and Peter don't really get together properly in this season I'm guessing/hoping/expecting that she'll blossom this season into something a bit closer to her college incarnation. Perhaps there'll be a change to her opening credit slot as the season progresses? :)

I can't wait until they turn ox into the Kangaroo for season 3! =p

whooo...The Super Enforcers!

Actually, I thought Dan would be becoming the Ricochet from Spidey lore too, but we never know: maybe he'll be someone else/new entirely.

Had a thought: what if John Jameson becomes the Ricochet after infected with the spores. I could see Jameson buying John gear and stuff...which would set up scorpion a little. Plus Ricochet would be brought to the press as a "good guy" and would at first maintain the same status as the original one...

Then after maybe The Enforcers get a hold of the suit and give it off to Fancy Dan. I actually think it'd be pretty cool to see Ox get some sort of upgrade next season too.

would be interesting but i dont think they would do that.

What the hell is this alien spore crap with John Jameson. My one wish above all else is to please GOD DO NOT ADD ANY OTHER SYMBIOTES. It will cheapin venom and make him less unique to the series

unless the alien spore stuff is unrelated...then by all means proceed

The alien spores really don't have to do with symbiotes. It's waaaay too early to even think about more of them.

While it took a moonstone to turn John into the Man-Wolf in the comics, please please please let those space spores result in animated Man-Wolf regardless.

yea there is nothing stating these space spores are venom/symboite related.

keep venom exactly the way he is in this show... I cant remember the last time Ive seen a better interpretation of eddie brock/venom

Spider-Man TAS? Say what you will about SSM being 100x better than TAS, which it is, but TAS's Venom arc, and characterization of Eddie, still trumps SSM's Venom arc/Eddie. IMO, of course, IMO.

oh no no no no TAS is such a huge source of my love for venom. Its what I base a lot of venom's other appearences in other forms of media off of. I'm a 21 year old firefighter and I cant tell you how much the guys in the dept. throw **** at me when I play this...for watching it all the time

The aliens spores predates the symbiote by 18 years...

did you read the book? where are they from?

here is a review of that issue from spiderfan.org

John tells his dad to calm down. He's had "many flights since then" which brings him to the point of his visit. "A strange thing happened on my last space mission," he says. When an alarmed Jonah says that NASA "didn't release a shred of information about your flight", John ominously replies that "they couldn't" and that "they had to make sure the space spores wouldn't be harmful to Earth, first". This brings John to his second flashback of the sequence, though this is something we have never seen before. He had been orbiting Earth in his latest space capsule and even went out for a space walk. But when he reentered the capsule he discovered that "some mysterious spores", which look like little flickers of light "had drifted inside with me". At the splashdown of the capsule, as he awaited pick- up by a helicopter, John noticed that the spores "clung to my space suit then later to my body". Returned to NASA, John was "subjected to intensive tests for days" but "everything appeared to check out a-okay". The spores "finally just faded away" so it was decided to release him but, concerned that "they may have had an effect upon him that won't show up until later", NASA decided to keep John under guard for "at least six months" because "certain nations would give anything to examine him behind the Iron Curtain". (I'm not sure why since the spores seem to have faded away, but you know those Commies! They want to get their hands on everything!) So, two guards follow John around everywhere and, even now, are stationed outside of Jonah's office door. Meanwhile, perhaps afraid that the idea of the Communists wanting to kidnap John isn't going to fly, Stan adds some more detail to it, having John say, "You see, dad, the space agency medics gained invaluable information by studying those spores and my reactions to them, information that may give us the boost we need in the space race!" (Whatever information that could possibly be.)

How do we know that Foswell isn't the "Big Man"?

We could easily find out in the next season or so, and it would follow the comics, greatly. A reporter at the Bugle, masquerades as "The Big Man" secretly. Tombstone could be a red-herring, I mean, even he said his favorite name is Tombstone...he never said that he WAS the bigman. And Hammerhead told he Goblin, I "work for TOMBSTONE", not the Big Man. So if they are willing to tell that he IS a villain, why not say Big Man...unless he actually ISN'T the Big Man.

possible but they could easily use foswell's other identity the patch or what ever it is for the show.

Oh here we go again...

Tombstone (as well as his cronies, like Hammerhead) doesn't refer to himself as The Big Man because they want him to have a squeaky clean image. Hell for all Hammerhead knows, the Green Goblin could have been wired.

They already alluded to this in a past interview.

yea that is what i was trying to point out. Should have been more clear.

Assuming that Fancy Dan is in fact, Ricochet, I have a theory about Ox. He undergoes the Rhino procedure, since it was Norman's only real non-fluke in the super mercenary field. Only instead of a Rhino suit, he winds up with Ox horns.
