Fallout 4

Ya, what makes me most mad is that it took this long for Bethesda to say anything about it. They should have crushed that huge ordeal right away. I dunno maybe they will surprise but still...they should have said something weeks ago.

In a way, i could understand why they kept quiet about the whole thing. it created a decent amount of hype for their product. It's free marketing for them.

But as a fan, it absolutely sucks finding out that it was all a hoax after getting so goddamn excited.I was waiting for FO4 basically since 2009

There were some major hints right at the beginning that lead one to believe it was a hoax.

I never bought it and was just waiting for Bethesda to confirm that. Like Solidus said, i was mina disappointed it took em so long to do so, but as you said, it makes sense why they didnt.

going through the reddit, we might at least get the Survivor 2099 story as a mod for NV:

Would you be totally okay if I created the mod for NV?

We can always team up.

So...casting call... this means that the game is actually that far along in production, right?

Damn....this is pretty much the ONLY game i've been waiting for since i've bought my first game console in 2008!

Hopefully the Mass setting will be much more appealing than the Washington and Nevada settings. Christ that was painfully boring to look at after a while. Deff hope they go for more of a Last of Us, Crysis 3 type setting than the "sponsored by the color brown" setting of the last 2 games

Well to be fair, a nuclear wasteland is not going to have a lot of color.

Yea true, still doesnt make it very appealing though, especially considering the over abundance of 'fallout' type games we got last gen. Lots of post nuclear wastelands. Eventually it just became too much, the setting never changed in any way.

But yea ur right, a nuclear wasteland is gonna look drab by default

I dunno.. Climbing the Washington Monument and looking out at the devastation was pretty sweet. I quite prefer the setting over fantasy.

Yeah, f**k trees and shimmering lakes. I wanna see a decrepit cesspool and lots of radiated craters. I mean, it's effin' Fallout. You want green, go play Skyrim. :o

It was sweet for 5 minutes, then you realized, holy s**t, everything looks the damn same. Brown, brown as far as they eye can see. They gotta change it up. Have some areas where nature is returning and overtaking the environment.

I'd be happy with a decent range of browns. :p But really, FO3 was just the same colors forever. Give us some colors, it's been 200 years. Let things bloom.

being set in MS doesn't mean it wont be more shades of browns. I don't think it was the location that was the cause for that but rather the setting/theme of the game. I don't think a lush vegetative world would work in this. Its supposed to be taken place after a nuclear post apocalyptic event. It makes sense that most of the vegetation was destroyed and what you're left with this dirt and rocks

.

Skyrim color scheme is actually kinda blue-ish, rather than green.

It's FO3 that's kinda green-ish

The athmosphere and the look of FO3 was actually what makes it so appealing to me.So i hope they don't change that.

Mass. Will probably have lots of Mirelurks. *shiver*

Probably weird Lobster men versions.

Give us an option to change the haze that surrounds the game. I'm really tired of everything having a green/brown tint when I play the game. :cmad:

Nuclear wastelands aren't my faourite terrain but they can be made to look more varied.
