hey man, the fact that you tried is what counts. I like the idea of them......... IF you wanted some suggestions here they are

Try to better match the brightness/contrast/color of the photos you are going to be combining, if you dont then they look very thrown together and dont blend well. Also when working with lo res photos its best to make things dark and shadowy in order to hide the quality of the pics. Overall i'd say just keep practicing, make a poster....... walk away from it for a few hours...... when you come back you should notice things that dont look as good as you thought and then next time make a conscious effort to fix that problem..... its pretty much trial and error.

Well I aprecoate that....I wasn't going for a professional look ya know....just trying to have some fun....but people get so damn serious and personal that I don't like posting anymore. I didn't get technical so I didn't mess with resolution or anything...just stuck them together. I don't own a photoshop or anything so...but I do like the concept for #4, oh well

Well it certainly shows that you weren't going for a "professional look." They are aggressively amateurish. It's almost as if you were trying to make them look as fake as possible. :D

The problem, of course, is that your images are way too complex. It's understandable that you may not have the skill or time (I certainly have neither) to make them look nice, but you shouldn't expect people to say they look good as posters. Honestly, your concepts would require a very gifted photoshop expert to make it look nice. Most of the posters people put up here are simple, teaser posters. What you're going for is tough to do right.

Also, I just want to say that I don't think its right for you to ^_^^_^^_^^_^^_^ about people being "personal" when they give you an honest answer. You asked our opinion, and we give it. We're not obligated to sugarcoat our fanboy opinions.

And, who really cares what we think anyways? If you have fun doing what you do, then keep at it. :)

haha that's so mean.

you gotta get rid of the lines and play around with gamma/contrast/brightness to make sure everything is in proper lighting dude. start with that, and get rid of the lines around some of the pics.

CONSTRUCTIVE, people.

Thanks man......I'm going to play around with it some more and see what happens. Try and do what you advised.

constructive is what I ask for but some people like being brutal so....thanks man.

'spanish39' - good concepts......As said already, it would be very hard to pull them off successfully. Still, good efforts.

I aint got any good art packages on my computer neither - all this man uses is 'Paint' - standard :)

When it comes to making posters there's a lot of factors - age, experience, program being used, creativity etc.
It's all about looking at other people's posters, and just using them as examples.

heres my go at a poster :D.
hope u all like, please feel free to comment on it :)

BTW if anyone would like it as a desktop please ak as i have some in 800x600 and above:D

Very good poster, but the tagline "Every legend has a beginning," is starting to grow stale.

Very true.

However it is still a cool tagline and relates to the title nicely.
