Fantastic Four Animated Series Discussion

You sure? It's not on the schedule. :csad:

It's listed on the Zap2It TV schedule and the IMDB TV schedule... but I don't see it on Cartoon Network's web schedule... so I guess we'll see tomorrow night.

USA Today had it listed on THEIR tv guide as well...

FF at 8pm...Batman at 8:30pm.

:thing: :batman:

Did the episode already come on?

It says Batman is next. :csad:

Damn, I knew they wouldn't play it. Even though it was listed in all TV guides I looked at, it wasn't listed on cartoonnetwork.com. Just The Batman, then 500 episodes of Naruto.

Looks like they're showing Batman, then Naruto next...

I guess the FF toon IS done after all...

Um, no its not. The Batman is WAY better than FF.

the batman screws up the villains so much. the joker has dreadlocks. and the riddler looked ridicious.

I was angry,i was looking foreward to seeing a new episode all week.Im still holding out hope that the series can still be shown. But when..

I'm sure all these remaining episodes will air at some point, or there will at least be a DVD release.
But personally, I'm glad to see this blashphemous screw-job of the FF come to an end.
I'm glad a generation of kids won't be learning to call that pin-headed fairy-britches "Johnny Storm."
And I've very glad to see the concept of a spray-painted Ben Grimm take its place in the Superhero Hall of Misfires alongside such gems as the teenage Benji Grimm yelling "Thing ring, do your thing!" (Fred & Barney Meet The Thing, NBC, 1978)
Someone at the time actually thought that was a good idea, too.

Every single cartoon incarnation of the FF has been, in one way or another, embarrassing.
Just once, I'd like to see them stick to the original material.

In my opinion, the FF truly is "the world's greatest comic magazine."
It's just never been made into a very good cartoon. Which is a damned shame.

My greatest wish (for an FF cartoon, anyway) would be for Marvel's animation czar (whoever that is) to give Paul Dini & Bruce Timm the first 100 issues of Fantastic Four (the ones actually by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby) and say:
"Go to it, guys."

The Fantastic Four animated series, which was pulled after seven episodes, remains off the network's schedule through the end of the year.

God, just put the show on DVD and call it a day. I'll blind-buy the damn thing.

Yes that makes me mas also. THE FF can't catch a break animation or big screen.

Did they give a reason for cancellation? Low ratings or what?

Man, Marvel has crap luck with their tv projects...both the FF toon and Blade completely bombed...things dont bode well for the upcoming Moon Knight series, which i believe the mainstream audience will take one look at and think: "Batman-Clone"....

On the other hand: Their Direct To Dvd animated movies seem to be selling quite well. (Looking forward to Dr. Strange). Maybe they'll eventually adapt a cool FF story straight to dvd....The Coming Of Galactus, or the Wedding Of Reed & Sue or something....

It ain't cancelled. They're just putting it on hiatus so it can be aired coinciding with the movie coming out next year when there's more hype about and ratings can improve. They did the same thing with Season three of X-M:E back in 2003.

the joker has dreadlocks.
Ever notice the similarites between

That does make sence.I dont think the series is canceled,i hope people remember the reports that the series did well when it first aired.I think either ratings fell a little,or the decision to take the show off for now was done.

Its been said that Cartoon Network relies heavily on anime for its nightime line up,which is why they put their own shows before or after anime. They have a sort of dislike of non-anime now.

I do think the theory of the cartoon comming back around the time of the movie release does stand up,people watch the movie. They see the cartoon, they hear of the movie, they see the cartoon..then watch the movie. It works out both ways.
