Well Vin Diesel said that they are going ahead and doing Part 8.

At this point I am looking forward to it since FURIOUS 7 was the 2nd best in the series next the FAST FIVE.

Not sure where they are going to do with it though.

I would love to discuss it!

I hear Eva Mendez is supposed to return. I say tone it down just a bit, make it less cornier than 7 (cause honestly it was just over the top corny) bring in Lucas Black and keep Ramsey around.

Yeah, they need to add Lucas Black and probably his character's girlfriend too. As for new characters, they could try expanding things by introducing another part of Vin's family and say they live in another country, or something like that.

I really hope they make Lucas Black's character a part of the crew.

They need to pair him with the team. Specially since his STAR power has gone up with his recent NCIS: New Orleans.


On the show he actually looks young. If he is in Furious 8 he will play a person nearly 20 years younger than him. I still think he has a young look and can pull it off.

What does everyone think of those proposed spin-offs? They seemed to be talking a bit about them before, strange that they haven't mentioned them since Furious 7's release considering how successful it was. To be honest, something only focusing on a character like Hobbs would feel a bit too much like just another generic star vehicle action movie. Only spin-off i think would bring anything new would be Tokyo Drift 2, as it would pretty much be its oun series of films more like the first three, where the focus remains on street racing.

Avengers 2 is also showing that the divide and conquer strategy may also weaken the grossings of the main films.

I mean I'd check out a Hobbs spin off. I just dont know how to make it more or as interesting as the main series.

For some reason I'd like to see what Rob Cohen would be able to do with what the series has become now. He's not a stranger to insane stunts with vehicles. I'd like a sense of the Fast 5 realism to return. I thought 6 was a little much at some parts but 7 was just too over the top.

Just about any hack will do really. It's not like 7 felt like a Wan film at all.
