What if Brian is getting killed off in the movie and they've already filmed it?

This is sad news. I can't imagine what Paul's daughter must be going through.

The Fast and the Furious is on Bravo channel right now...

Abruptly or was this already scheduled?

Already scheduled. It plays on their pretty regularly lately. Just coincidental it happened to fall on the day of his death.

This series is about fun how on earth am I going to have fun while thinking about it? It's the way he died as well that is going to hurt me from having fun while watching the film.

Lord, Just Jared has pictures of Paul taking pix with his fans right before his death..

I wonder if Universal will won't to keep their name on a franchise promoting fast dangerous cars and driving when a fast car and dangerous driving killed one of the stars? I mean yeah there is profit to be made, but this could be a PR problem.

It's really hard to promote it in another way.

What I'm asking is does anyone else think Universal might sell the franchise to another studio after film 7. It could be a PR problem for Universal if they keeps promoting these films.

Walker loved this franchise (surely he liked the money), there is no need to change names or anything silly like that. Finish the movie as best as they can and release it in his honor. But don't exploit his death in any way, just market it like normal.

Wouldn't every studio have the same concern though? Plus has it even been confirmed that dangerous driving as opposed to vehicle malfunction was the cause of the accident?

Some people will think actually releasing the thing would be exploitative.

Not necessarily. What made me think of this is that Paramount who was originally supposed to distribute the Crow opted out after Brandlon Lee's death due to bad PR. Miramax didn't care about the PR. They aquired it and released it.

This isn't the first time a star of an upcoming film has died, lets not pretend that it is people.

Actually it would be insulting not to release the film. Paul would've want it released. The only issue is how much Paul filmed. If his role was far from finished, they can't pull what Terry Gilliam did for imaginarium of doctor parnassus.

People had the same overreactions when Ledger died. Saying that they should retire the joker on film and other ridiculous things. People are just upset and in shock right now, they will eventually realize that the show always goes on.

Didn't Ledger die while the Dark Knight was in post-production?

Seriously... what is HAPPENING in here? Yes, one of the film series' stars is dead and yes, it's very sad... but that doesn't mean it's the end of the film/series nor does it somehow make it bad form to continue or for the film studio to promote it.

Ledger died when Dark Knight was in post, but when imaginarium of doctor parnassus was in production.

No one is saying that. But how often does an actor, who plays a character who drives dangerously in a film franchise about dangerous driving, die as a result of dangerous driving?
