I like in the first 38 seconds of the trailer, the big wow moment is brutally murdering the cars chasing our beloved heroes with a wrecking ball.

Those cars were abandoned.

That's the most bonkers chase trailer I've seen since Mad Max. I like the title change too.

It is a great trick with the English language to get 8 into the title. Which is probably why the title is still F&F 8 for other countries.

no next step must be in desert where furiousa drives a truck and dom and rest of crew are backing her up (cause she is family yo) as some new gang trying to kill them. then we can go in space.

I'm not crazy about the whole thing with Dom going bad or whatever. We just saw that routine with Letty. Maybe it will work but it's starting to feel like they're really, REALLY running out of ideas here.

after 7 movies i think this was the best way to do it. ignore any physics and storytelling logic. they get one ticket from me just because they promoted the movie with Dom going bad. IMO in the third act Dom is going back to his family and they will not be able to promote it.

The thing that gets me is that Diesel says they want to do 3 more movies before closing the series (or this iteration, at least). F7 was such a wonderful way to go out, I can't picture these films living up to that. But, hey, maybe I'll be proven wrong. If they're in giant robot cars by part 10, I'll be won over.

I liked the trailer and the movies will always be a guilty pleasure for me, if only to laugh at how ridiculous Paul Walker's character was in 2 Fast 2 Furious. He went from being a dudebro/frat boy wearing Westcoast Choppers tshirts to actually talking like a normal human being and wearing respectable clothing for a man his age.

Buuuut I do wonder how badly Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson's relationship deteriorated after this movie. Maybe the whole thing jumped the shark.
