Fast 8

From third-rate film series to blockbuster events, Fast & Furious has come a long way. I would advise the studio to be careful with pursuing spin-offs. A Hobbs one could work, but they should probably avoid turning this into an yearly series, might not work to their advantage.

To change things up they should either play Alicia Key's "Empire State of Mind" or Frank Sinatra's with cuts of high speed chases

I wish we knew more about the status of the script and who's writing. I also feel like Dwayne Johnson's gonna end up sitting out due to commitments to Ballers, Baywatch, and such. Just seems like the dude's got a million non-Fast 8 things on his schedule, and they're all moving faster.

I doubt any of those pays as well as Fast & Furious 8.

I could see them using Ja Rule's "New York, New York" song in the trailer or something. Bring back Edwin, lol

She needs to be in black panther

Can she sing if she's Monica Lynne?

She would be good for this franchise. I would give her a major franchise (if she signs for multiple films) that very few black actresses are a part of.

Have these people driven in NYC? I don't see how you do a high speed chase here.

Not a huge thing, but Dwayne Johnson says his Fast 8 shoot lasts 12-14 weeks.

Vin Diesel has just revealed official release dates for Fast and Furious 9 and 10

The road goes ever on today for Universal Pictures‘ massively successful Fast and Furious franchise. Leading man Vin Diesel has just taken to social media to reveal release dates for Fast and Furious 9 and 10! Look for Fast and Furious 9 to arrive April 19, 2019 with Fast and Furious 10 following April 2, 2021. In both cases, those are the first films to claim their respective release dates.

The eight franchise entry, Fast 8, is already set to hit theaters April 14, 2017. It was recently confirmed that Straight Outta Compton helmer F. Gary Gray will direct the feature, which is planned to launch a new trilogy of films. As you can see in Vin Diesel’s Instagram post below, the franchise is offering up a new tagline: “2 Decades, 10 Films, 1 Saga”.
Vin Diesel will return for Fast 8 with with franchise regulars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black reprising their roles as street racers-turned-international criminals-turned-super-secret agents. Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson and Kurt Russell are expected to return as well.
Principal photography Fast 8 is planned to take place in both New York and Atlanta, Georgia. Recent reports suggest that two other possible locations for the film could be the previously unexplored Russia and Iceland.
Fast and Furious 9 and 10 aren’t the only films new that Universal has planned for the franchise. It was recently revealed that plans are underway for both Fast and Furious spinoffs and prequels.
Furious 7 earned an impressive $1.514 billion at the worldwide box office last year.
Are you ready for lots more Fast and Furious films or do you think that the franchise should take a break? Let us know in the comments below!

Why aren't they trying to make some of the entries appear annualy? Fast 6 pretty much was the end of Justin Lin's trilogy, yet they were ready to have Furious 7 come out the year right after if it wasn't for what happened with Paul Walker. Anyway, they should divide the 10th film into two part, then they could have something like Fast and Furious X Part 1 & Part 2.

The spin-offs have also been taking quite a while, they've been talking about them since film 5 or 6.

I wish we knew more about the status of the script and who's writing.

Pretty sure it'll be Chris Morgan again, since he's been part of the franchise since Tokyo Drift.

I'm actually surprised Universal didn't announce the dates for 9 and 10 in addition to Fast 8. They must've gotten Diesel to sign another contract for two movies before announcing the dates.

Fast and Furious in Manhattan. That's going to be one hell of a slow crawl.

It would be faster for Vin to just Skyrise jump like he did in the last one.

Chris Cabin of Collider.com suggests Jaume Collet-Serra and Josh Trank for his 9/10 dream directors... I just... no.
