Fast 8

I love Chris Cabin on the I Hate Movies podcast, (He recently left the podcast), but the hosts would make fun of him for his tastes in movies.

Why Josh Trank? Did he not follow the whole Fantastic Four mess and actually watch Fantastic Four?

I have a hard time believing a major studio will be rushing to hand a big budget and mega franchise over to Josh Trank anytime soon.

Not seeing the problem with Jaume Serra, his last films have been decent (hell, they were better than half of the films in this franchise), he's the type of hired gun that could fill up the franchise if they were in a rush and had noone else to take on the job. Trank's done though, i'm all for him getting another oportunity with something smaller, but no studio in their right mind would give him the reigns of a Billion worthy franchise.

I don't know if they'd do it, but what would you guys say to all the living villains teaming up to form a "Fast-verse" Sinister Six? (or however many there are)

This will never happen, but I'd love to see Michael Bay tackle an installment.

Pretty tacky, but not out of the realm of possibility given FF6's villain team was supposed to mirror the crew. I figured with F Gary Gray on board and supposed darker tone they would be expanding/fleshing out their criminal world more.

Transformers X Fast franchise.

Meh, i like my Fast & Furious action to be comprehensible.

I've never had a problem with that, but then again I'm one of the few people who like Bay on this site.

Bay would be perfect for F&F. Especially if one of the protagonists gets killed, he'd dramatise the hell out of it.

I don't hate Bay but no. I'd be perfectly fine with Jaume Collet-Serra actually.

Serra is incredibly middle of the road for me. I loved Run All Night, but his other action stuff has been decent at best.

Please keep Michael Bay away from the Fast franchise. I used to be one of his biggest supporters but then he did Transformers 2 & 4. First was awesome and 3rd one was actually the proper sequel, unlike part 2. The 4th one was enjoyable up to the first hour, then it just turned into a giant metallic turd.

He's made a couple of enjoyable movies but nothing that makes him a "dream director".

One last ride my ass.

Luda confirmed he's back in an Entertainment Tonight interview. Sure, we pretty much knew, but I still like it when they actually say it.

lol @ the implication of this franchise being "too good" for Michael Bay. Y'all are in denial. It'd be a match made in heaven. He is literally made for stuff like this. Like it or not, he does have certain easily identifiable skills that make him suited for this series.

Actually, I was going to say Michael Bay is better than this franchise. The Rock beats any of the Fast films hands down.

The Rock is his only good film IMAO.

That said, he has many talents when it comes to the technical side of filmmaking, a shame he doesn't try making his action scenes more comprehensible.
