this movie is actually getting decent reviews at rottentomatoes.com. i mean, they're saying the main story is wholly forgettable and cliche, but the cars are cool and the racing is like nothing you're likely to have seen before. did anyone really expect anything more? i mean, not every movie is going to win oscars, some jjust need to be flashy and cool.

either way, color me surprised.

maybe if those asses at universal would ley him continue his chronicles trilogy. i heard that he's even willing to put up a large sum of the buget out of his own pocket. that's some classy stuff, and it shows he really cares about the character.

and i don't care that no one liked chronicles of riddick, i loved it. i thought, besides serenity, it was one of the best 'space stories' in a long, long time.

If they are advertising the Vin Diesel Cameo in this Movie then god damn this Movie must really suck.

Pardon? What kind of hairbrained logic spits out this kind of crap? I'd say the director or else somebody high up in the production was looking for some gimick that could make the story go out with a bang and somebody came up with the plan to get Diesel back in. End of story.

Honestly, The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift is not a bad movie. Sure the story is something I've seen in many shapes and forms over the years, but visually and action-wise it's pretty good. Those people who are trying to heap scorn on the fans who want to see it are the ones who'll be the butt of the joke in the end.

It's a guy movie. And yes, I do hate when people refer to guy movies as movies with all style and no substance, but that's what they're labeled as. Watching testosterone in action on the screen. I admit I can go watch an indie film and something like this in one fell swoop, because I have both a cerebral cortex and a penis.

There's two of them actually. The main character says something in that stupid accent which I can't understand, then Vin goes, "All I've got is time." And in the other he says, "You ready, kid?" But nah man, don't have any vid links, sorry.

The script is pretty bad as is some of the dialogue and acting. The direction is fine and it moves along quite well.

The drifting footage is worth it (even if its a stupid "Super hardcore extreme sreet version" of drifting ). Then again Drifting is all about looking good so I would have been shocked if they managed to make it bad.

The Australian girl is pretty hot (although vacant looking)

I saw the first one in the theater cause a girl I was interested in wanted to see it and I took her, thought it was pretty good. Watched it later on DVD without her and realized being with her was what made watching it good. Just seemed like a generic, rehashed Point Break, with cars instead of surfing. Then again, I've never really been a "car guy" so that might have something to do with it.
