Fast Five pumped the guys up to get Bin Laden. True story

Such a great movie.

The action is worth $10 alone. The Rock was fantastic.

One question...

Is Letty going to be the antagonist in the next film with Dom being the protagonist?

I want a Justin Lin to direct a Bin Laden smackdown movie...

I had a question about something Vince said during his argument with Dom after the train heist.

Maybe spoilers
Forgot how to do the spoiler tag thing.

When he said to Dom. "Look what'd happened to the family. I can't go home. What about Letty Dom? What about Letty?"

So Dom, Brain, and Mia never told him that Letty was supposedly dead? Or did he know and was just saying it to get under Dom's skin?

I still don't get how people loved the fact they dumped the racing. That's what the franchise has always involved. I'm assuming those who dislike the racing, hated the previous ones.

What's to get??,Many are attracted to other elements of the franchise than just racing and thus simply having a different opinion than you and that don't make them right or wrong!,It has not really been fully dropped and yes the main thing about the movies were street racing But some just agree that there was&is potential to go in different directions.

Why would you assume that??,Others even on here including myself have mentioned that some people just loves the stunts&car chases much more than races!,I'm glad they went into the heist&characters direction even though the original is still my fav.(although I haven't seen Fast Five yet)

I like the direction the series is going. it's the characters that I love, and the level of action that this movie has as well is just so much bigger and more exciting to me than just street racing. Street racing is still cool, but man did that vault chase rock.

I understand that. At the end of the day majority rules. This is looking likes its going to be the highest grossing out of the franchise. From everyones reaction (including crititcs) it seems like heists is where its at now.

How about Fast and Furious: Overdrive for the next movie?

And you can look at it this way, even though it wasn't as prominent as the street racing, heists and robberies have been apart of the franchise from day one. The FBI wasn't after Dom because of street racing, but because he was stealing dvd players from trucks, in essence stealing millions of dollars. That's how I look at it.

Finally got to see it! After all the hype I gotta say I wasn't let down...It's definitely Oceans's 13 meets Italian Job + Fast and the Furious = great combination! Justin Lin can now be called an action director! This reminded me of all the best 80's and 90's action movies I ever saw that never used special fx or wire work. This was high octane fun and one of the best straight up action movies in a while. Like Bourne...Bourne series' appeal was about the practicality of the action and when things crash and burn in this movie I feel like they were actually wrecked for filming. As a series...if you're a fan or not...the pay off of seeing all these characters in the previous movies, finally come back to reprise their roles in a movie 10 years past its prime is a thing of wonder. People always have been drawn to these movies but probably always wondered "Is it an action movie series or is it about street racing?" The movies could never decide what they wanted to be. This is when those involved from the beginning said "I don't want to let this franchise die" and with the 5th movie they have delivered on a promise they always came up short on. Bravo! End credits scene got cheers!

Ranking the series

The Fast and The Furious
Fast Five
Tokyo Drift
Fast & Furious

I haven't seen 2Fast but I liked the Roman and Tej character so I might check it out.

I saw the film Saturday in IMAX and enjoyed the hell out of it. The train sequence was really good but I didn't buy into the ending of it and when Dom broke his chains I was going "really?". Also when they flipped the bus I yelled "you killed him" , lol. Once they got chased by the Rock it became awesome for me. The ambush , fight , and the safe robbery were all incredible action scenes.
Also , I loved Rock in this. "Am I right?" yes. "Of course I am ". :woot:
It was great seeing all the characters come together and the several nods to previous films. I hope Han never makes it to Tokyo. I'm ready for a sixth film , this one really invigorated the series (rare for a part five).

Also I spoiled myself by reading this thread for the last week so I knew about the end credits reveal but I didnt' know about
Eva mendes
:wow::wow::wow:

You really have to sit back and admire the Fast and the Furious film series.
Especially when you look at certain films that are not even worthy of a sequel but
inexplicably got one:Hoodwinked Too Hoodwinked Too! Hood VS. Evil or The Whole Ten Yards anyone?
The F&F series remains entertaining, fun, and loud.
Starting where Fast & Furious left off Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) has fully embraced his need for speed and left his days as an FBI agent ,along with his lover Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) they boost Dominic "Dom" Toretto (Vin Diesel) from a prison bus.
The trio take on a heist job to steal only one specific car, the Ford GT40.
Betrayed by the crew they're teamed with,DEA agents die,and they quickly become
the enemies corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida),who sent the crew to work with the trio. This also grabs the attention of a tough, relentless, DSS agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson).Dom sees only one way out steal all of Reyes millions.
Director Justin Lin who took the reigns of the series with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift knows his audience and provides the thrill and speed even the subtitles quickly move on and off the screen.
He assembles a good portion of the casts from the previous films Han Lue (Sung Kang), Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), Tej Parker (Ludacris), Gisele Harabo (Gal Gadot), Tego Leo (Tego Calderón), and Rico Santos (Don Omar) The one liners, humor, good natured
put downs of the crew work like a charm.
Elsa Pataky is a nice addition as a local officer who recognizes there's more to Dom than meets the eye.Sure the acting is a bit stiff and there's a plot hole or two butif you dont smile or cheer the crew on you just dont have a pulse.
Make sure you stick around during the closing credits.I left the theatre saying i cant wait for part 6
Scale of 1-10 an 8½

Did anyone else picture Hobbes busting through a wall and killing Osama personally after hearing OBL was dead?

If Fast Six takes place in Germany, has them going up against German adversaries, etc., I'm calling it now. Christoph Waltz for the main villain.:woot:

Wow I'm pretty shocked at how much this movie made. I knew it was going to do well but holy. Shows that the industry isn't down, the people were just waiting for a good movie to rock their socks off.

Weekend Actuals according to BoxOfficeMojo: $86,198,765.

In a radio interview on 26 April, 2011 for RPR.1 (Rhineland-Pfalz Radio One), Vin Diesel mentioned that scenes from the sixth movie will take place on the German Autobahn and seventh and final film takes place somewhere else.
I can see Fast 6 being set in a few different European countries...
I agree I liked the inclusion of Italian cars, and I'm sure with it being in Europe in next film it will include German/Italian cars.
Id like to see a few British cars as well.....:awesome:
