I think "Fast: Furious" would make a great title. I don't think adding "7" anywhere in the title helps because it evokes audience fatigue. It seems like a good evolution.

The Fast and the Furious -> Fast and Furious -> Fast: Furious

4 is usually supposed to evoke audience fatigue in a series. Which is why you see most "four-quels" drop the 4 and replaced with some under-title i.e Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocal.

With the FF series being on 6 with it in the title, they are far past the point of caring about audience fatigue i think.

It kinda feels like Paul Walker AKA Brian got pushed into a side character in Fast 6. He really didn't have much to do other than go talk to Braga and show up at the end for the final fight on the plane. He was just kinda of there in this movie... well it focused on Dom, Letty, Shaw mostly. The rest of the crew kinda got shafted too besides Han and Gisele who both bite the dust.

Yea and with The Rock showing up in Fast Five Paul really got pushed into a side character. Rumor has it that he wouldn't have a big role in Fast 7 either, almost a cameo type of role. Which I hope that isn't true... I know he is the sidekick now.. but don't totally kick him out of the franchise lol.

To be fair, I always felt like O'Connor was the main character in the first one even though Paul Walker didn't get top billing. And of course, O'Connor had the second film to himself.

HA HA true dat! But still I know he will want to help Dom and crew get revenge for Han's death. BTW I watched 2 Fast 2 Furious the other night and it wasn't horrible like people claim it is. Its actually a decent movie with funny moments like Brian and Roman saying cuz every so often.
