After reading the script I was a little dissapointed with the final fight because they really did cut alot out.

I think the whole bottling chase scene/first Hulk out was just perfect!

Each of the three major fight sequences had their own unique pros.

The bottling scene was great, because we did not yet see the hulk in full detail. The monster in the dark angle was great, and the line "Leave me alone" was unforgettable, and also a testament to the comics and Savage Hulk having the personality traits of Banner as a child, wanting to be left alone.

The scene at the College Campus was also great, because we saw Banner as almost a caged animal, igniting the rage within at the site of Betty getting hurt by the soldiers and the impending crisis of being captured. The jumping out the walkway was a great scene. Seeing a super-soldier in action against the Hulk also seemed like foreshadowing for Captain America and the Avengers (will we see something similar but Captain America trying to restrain the hulk, i for one hope so!).

The fight between Hulk and Abomination was of course the ultimate payoff -- time to let the CGI wizards do their magic and show us a great fight scene. It also highlighted that Banner was in control to some degree, which is why I believe the hulk was slightly weaker than abomination (until the Hulk got even more pissed off) but that intelligence did things like using the torn in half car as a weapon.

Overall, I would say that the movie set some very good precedents for Avengers and sequal, showing how a totally out of control Hulk acts, and how a more in-control Hulk can also do some good.

There is no doubt that the Harlem battle was awesome, but I felt a little underwhelmed, because I was expecting more from the announced fight length. I chose the campus fight, because of Blonsky fighting the Hulk, Captain America-style.

1. College campus: It was classic Hulk. Far more exciting than the scene in Hulk '03 when he fought tanks and just seeing him tear **** up was great. My favorite bit was when Blonsky went toe to toe with the Hulk and avoided getting smashed (for now) and it looked how I imagine if someone like Cap. or Spidey fought him. And then luring him to the big sonic tanks...very Marvel comic book-y. Just B.A. And when he saves Betty and stares at Ross. Great action set piece. One of Marvel's best.

2. Bottle Factory: Let this be a lesson in how effective not seeing the action can be. Hulk was easily his most scary and intimidating in this scene and the hulking monster kicking ass in the darkness and smoke rocked. Especially the face reveal to Blonsky.

3. Final showdown: Pretty cool. I especially liked the part where Blonsky/Abomination was just tearing **** up on his own. Hulk using the car as gloves was cool. Overall too much CGI and after the build up, I still think there are still nearly a dozen better Marvel action sequences, including the other two in this movie.

Agreed. I love it when someone who's quick and agile, fights a big, "hulking," strong character.

When Hulk nonchalantly rips off his shirt, you know mayem will ensue,. Apart from that the WHOLE Brazil sequence, awesome, just awesome:up:

At which point did he say Leave me alone? :csad: I watched the boot legged version (cause it hasn't come out at theaters here yet, but when it does I'm still gonna go see it :woot:) so maybe the sound wasn't good. What point in scene does he say this?

Harlem. Definitely Harlem. Especially when Abomination hears the Hulk in the distance and turns back with a grin to say "Hulk"-- gave me major chills and had me grinning like a little kid.

But I was really surprised and amazed by all the action sequences. I really thought nothing would be on the level of Hulk vs. the tanks in the first one, but the director really did a spectacular job here.

I'm not sure exactly. But it's sort of a low whisper, under a growl.

I've got a question. What was Blonsky thinking when he walked up to the Hulk, and asked him, "Is that all you've got?" Was it just sheer arrogance?

It happens right after the grenade explosion, which is followed by a sigh of relief by Ross, Hulk then says the "Leave Me Alone" line which is directly followed by Hulk sliding the factory tank towards the soldiers who scramble to get out of the way.

Cool I'll look for it then. All the more reason to watch it at the theaters

He just got caught up in his own hype. He got over confident because according to Ross he was "doing it" whatever it is :hehe:. So I guess he felt invincible.

Or probably his logic betrayed him and he started thinking. "Hmm... since I can dodge all his blows.... maybe I can take his blows too... Aight lemme try.

So it was, probably his arrogance then. Technically he did take the blow. I mean he didn't take it well; but he survived.:hehe:

Easily the college campus. I liked the unstoppable characteristic of the Hulk when he fought the army, that they couldn't stop him and that he beat the army.

Gotta be the college campus for me, thought Tyler was particularly effective in this scene, and Hulk overcoming the sonic cannons was great.

I was actually dissapointed in the end fight, there was actually hardly any Hulk vs Abomination actual fighting in it, which dissapointed me greatly. BUT, the use of the Thunder Clap, and when Hulk finally overpowers Abom were 2 amazing parts of it.

EDIT: I actually thought the chase scene in Brazil was a very well done action sequence as well.

for me:
1. Harlem
2. College campus
3. Bottle factory.

they were all good fight scenes.

The other scene that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up was when Hulk is hit with the cannons. with the effects and the score...simply awesome.

for me its all the fights scenes, but the one that really sends chills through me is when abom and hulk are fighting....abom has him pinned against the wall....and he tells him you dont deserve this power.....do you remember when hulk yells when abom slams his forearms into hulks throat?. Hulk roars....then i think he looks at betty...looks back at abom....and then the classic strength increase when he gets mad.....i couldnt get over the intensity in hulks face when he's staring right into aboms face when he's forcing aboms arms down.......that was awesome!!
