Who was your favorite villain from a live action Superman film?

Terence Stamp's Zod. Fantastic villain. Menacing, egotistical, power hungry maniac. I still say his famous "Kneel before Zod" scene in the White House is one of the best villain moments in a CBM. I loved when the President says "There's one man who will never kneel before you" and Zod says "Who is this imbecile? Where is he?". Class.

Although she's not on the poll, my close second fav is Ursa. She was one mean biotch. When Zod killed that kid on the horse, and the town's woman says "He was just a boy", Ursa replies with a big smile on her face "Who will never become a man". Ice running through her veins, chewed the scenery, and wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty in fights with Superman. Sarah Douglas was great.

I can't choose which but either way it goes my vote goes to Zod. I love both Stamp's portrayal & Shannons', though I may prefer the latter a bit. Either way, they're the stand-outs when it comes to his cinematic villains. Them and Ursa & Faora. All of them were fantastic.

This was a tough call for me. Shannon's Zod ultimately wins because MOS did a good job of fleshing out Zod's rationalization of his actions as ultimately misunderstood. When a villain believes he/she is in the right, a good conflict usually follows.

That being said, Doomsday had a more memorable appearance and power set than any Superman cinematic villain. BvS may have screwed up his origin, but at least he made for a memorable battle once he got there.

Terence Stamp's Zod. I was extremely disappointed when the animated series replaced Zod with lame Jax-Ur :yuk:

Shannon's Zod - he felt like a real threat that needed killing.

Gave a vote to Hackman.

Yeah, there was alot of humor in STM but he could be a cold hearted SOB.

Shannon's Zod gets my vote, not only was he fleshed out which made you understand his reasoning. He was also a threat to both the hero and humanity itself.

Hackman could've been a good Lex with less campy writing for the character

Michael Shannon's Zod is ok

Terrence Stamp's Zod kicks ass

Kevin Spacey's Lex was actually great, too bad he was in a ****** movie

Doomsday looked like the cave troll from Fellowship, but he was cool

Eisenberg's Lex is lame

Terrence Stamp and Kevin Spacey take the cake pretty easily. It's too bad we had to get MOS and DCEU Superman when we had better actors for Lex AND Superman

I agree. Ursa is my runner-up.

Stamp's Zod crushes the impostor, and the rest of the competition.

Nuclear Man!

No.. just kidding. :D I'll probably say oldschool Zod from Superman 2.

The child in me LOVES Nuclear Man...I used to reenact his fight with Superman when I was 6 years old with my older brother....he was always Superman so I always got my butt kicked...

but now when I watch that fight its pretty campy...its crazy how you remember something from your childhood being so awesome then as an adult you wonder how you could even like it at all

When you consider there have been 6 Superman movies (including BvS) that list is pitiful.

Definitely Shannon's Zod, because he feels like a legit menace and is a much more fleshed out character than Stamp's.

However, Stamp's flair and style breathe so much life into an otherwise 2D character that he's a very, very close second.

But almost all his on screen villains was almost exclusively Lex Luthor

Have to go with Stamp's Zod, still one of cinema's best comicbook villains IMO. An honorable mention must go to Shannon's zod since I thought the character was well fleshed out.

Hackman's lex was an excellent golden age (not silver age) lex but he was a lex of a bygone era.

Kevin Spacey's Lex was actually great, too bad he was in a ****** movie

couldn't have said it better.

Lastly where are Faora, Ursa and Non? Because honestly Foara in particular is right up there with Stamp's zod (for me atleast!).

Evil Supes deserves a mention.

The junk yard battle in Superman III is one of the best things ever.

That was actually a great scene. A diamond in the rough of that movie.
