Favorite Movie Soundtracks

Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Narnia (the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe), and Transformers to name a few.

Adding on to my list:

Mars Attacks!

The Descent
2001 A space oddesey
A clockwork orange
Planet of the Apes original
Nightmare before christmas
Superman
Superman II

I am probably missing a couple but these are some of my favorites. A film score can do so much for a movie. Would Jaws be jaws without that suspensful music...or would the lord of the rings be the same without the shore's epic score...I don't think so!

I have to add any film by Tarantino, especially the Kill Bill movies.

Gladiator
The Shining
2001
Kill Bill
Pulp Fiction
Fight Club
Vanilla Sky
The Proposition
28 Days Later
Trainspotting
Man on Fire
Lost Highway
Eraserhead
Full Metal Jacket
Natural Born Killers
The Crow

More to come

The Fog of War
Koyaanisqatsi (basically anything with Philip Glass)
Memento
A Clockwork Orange (with all its classical music)
Inception
Batman Forever (a bit ironic, since I hate the actual movie with a passion)

I just bought the double 180-gram vinyl reissue of John Carpenter's score for The Fog. What a perfect little horror movie score.

Star Wars films (all of them)
Indiana Jones (all of them)
Jaws
1941
E.T.
The Untouchables
Star Trek films (all of them except JJ Abrams)
The Patriot (Mel Gibson version)
Braveheart
Jurassic Park
Superman
Superman II
Batman (1989)
Midway
We Were Soldiers
Saving Private Ryan

Steve Jablonsky's work on the first Transformers is absolutely marvelous. So much so it elevates the film one whole point up imo.

His Enders Game score is also damn good. He's not always on an A-game, but when he is he's one of the best.

Not counting single main tracks from a soundtrack because I could go on and on...

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Ink
Tron: Legacy/R3CONF1GUR3D
The Dark Knight Trilogy
The Fountain
Transformers
Inception

and a few more that I'm blanking on.
