Mines A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. Why? I find it the most fun, and it's the first one I watched.

Nightmare on Elmstreet 1 is a classic
Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is fun...

And you know the expression "Shades of Gray" well the rest of the Noes series is "Shades of Crap". Except Noes5 has one of my all time favorite horror kills, the comic geek kill!

Nightmare on Elmstreet pts 1 & 2 are my favorites, I like the rest but it's those first two.

obviously the original. after that, i'd say NOES 3: Dream Warriors because it featured the return of heather langencamp as nancy, had some of the most inventiv killings (the guy being puppeted out the window, the tv pulling someone into the screen) and also co-starred "larry" fishbourne

Yeah, the most gruesome death of the series was in ANOES 3 when Freddy ripped that kids veins out and turned him into a puppet.

Parts 1-4 are the best IMO, though Freddy is at his scariest in 1 and 2.

Part 5 was garbage, part 6 was worse, and Wes Craven's new nightmare was silly.

I haven't seen all the Freddy movies so I voted for Wes Craven's New Nightmare because its the only one I have seen apart from Freddy VS. Jason.

Part 4 was the higest grossing in the series and I think New Nightmare was the lowest.

i kind of like freddy's dead: the final nightmare. if only because you get to see more of freddy's backstory

I appreciate ANOES 5 for its gothic atmosphere and score. But other than that the story was VERY weak, the effects were okay (but terrible compared to part 4) the only good effects were the ones that K.N.B. did at the end when Freddy is de-merging with Alice. And it was soo rushed considering that it came out LESS THAN A YEAR after ANOES 4. No wonder it did bad at the B.O. the movies were like an assault one after the other.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984),because it really freaked me out,I was only 13 when I saw it and I could've sworn I heard him calling my name that night in my room :(

That alley way scene with freddy making his arms long still creeps me out.

The original, part 3 and a new nightmare.

In part three when snake freddy is trying to eat patricia arquette was creepy.

Parts 1, 2, 3, 4 and Freddy vs. Jason

part 5 was boring and part 6 felt like a comedy.

The original, obviously. The other sequels were crap. The only creative sequel was New Nightmare, and it was alright. Freddy looked pretty badass in it, too.

I'm curious as to whether or not we'll ever see a new Nightmare on Elm Street film.

i love the first..it's classic...but my favourite to watch is part 3.

are they still making that "Springwood Slasher" prequel? i actually wouldn't mind just seeing a new sequel. remakes and prequels started being made because sequels were getting to be cliche, now remakes and prequels are cliche, so they should go back and just make a new freddy movie and don't be ashamed to call it part 8!

Making a prequel would be stupid because his backstory was explained in Freddy's Dead.

i agree. but last i heard, that was what's being considered by new line

I love 1-3, 1 is my favorite tough. I hate 4&5 with a passion:mad:

Freddy's dead was the first one I watched that was a fun one. I liked Freddy Vs Jason too. That had the hottest girls in it too.:o

nancy was hot. that scene in the original where she changes with her back to us. damn.
