Favorite Obscure Marvel Characters?

Oh, I see he was on the team during the Eve of Destruction story. Which means that someone thought it would be clever to put a homophobe on the same as Northstar. How cute.

Who the **** is Paulie Provenzano?

He was an X-Man for 4 issues during the "Eve Of Destruction" storyline. There were no X-Men available (and apparently that includes the billion that were in comic limbo at the time) so Jean pulled together a few newbies (Paulie, Wraith, and Sunpye) along with Dazzler and Northstar (first time out with the X-Men). They met up with Cyclops and Woverine and beat up Magneto. Then after it was all done the Newbie X-Men all left the team, end of their tenure.

Sunpyre showed up again shortly after that as a member of the X-Corpse but was killed by Mystique. Northstar joined the team shortly after that for a long while. Dazzler eventually joined New Excalibur. Paulie and Wraith were never seen again, though it's rumored that Paulie was the guy sitting next to Maggott in the Neverland Concentration Camp while being gassed. So he's as dead as Cecelia Reyes. Not officially, but most probably.

Lobdell was one of my favorite X-writers, but I heard he basically phoned that story in. And didn't Yu draw that story?

Yu drew the X-Men issues, Larocca drew the Uncanny issues (2 each). And I think Yu drew the prelude leading into it.

Yeah, it was just a transition story from Claremont to Morrison. Even had him kill off the Neo (Claremont creation). It started the whole Wolverine beheads/kills Magneto craze. Some good Cyclops moments though, and I always liked the new team.

My favourite obscure Marvel character would probably be Seraph( first seen in Defenders #123 and last seen in New Defenders#151). This enigmatic albino seems worthy of further exposure!

dude ripped off parker's mask from his unconcious body just to have it as his own personal prize. knocked spidey out cold...

so so so sos so much potential.

i would have loved to see him going up against black panther, both of them have this famil legacy of rigorous training and all that jazz...

would have also have liked to see him take morlun apart

Not really obscure, but severely underutilized in my opinion is Sleepwalker.

Man, I've really gotta think hard on this one. There's so many out there that I liked that barely saw the light of day.

T'challa would be pretty heavilly out of his league in that encounter dont you think? Black Tarantula is a couple hundred times stronger and faster, heals from bullet wounds before you can reload and has a handfull of other powers like eye-blasts and such.

Black Panther is highly skilled and has some fancy toys.

Yeah I picked up the first issue after enjoying the Terror Inc mini so much.... not sure why that made me think Foolkiller would be good too...

Either way it's terrible.
