They aren't just pictures on the Hero's costume, they mean something, signify who they are and what they're about, they are the symbols, the emblems of our heroes.

DC has alot of good ones I think even better than Marvel's heroes.

My favorites are these...

Batman's yellow oval with curved Bat wings, I miss it on his suit. It's classic and unique, it stands out, you see that and know it's Batman, the plain bat just looks like a halloween decoration.:batman:

Superman's shield, in all its forms it has always stood out, a symbol of power and justice. It's been a family crest, and something Martha Kent came up with. I do like it best as the El family crest though.
It is just beautiful.:super:

The Green Lantern's Lantern, simple yet very cool. I like how it stands out now, recently drawn like a light in a 3-D image from his chest.
I like the Golden age Lantern logo aswell. But nothing beats Hal's emblem.:gl:

The Flash's lightning both, signifying speed and power. The golden age bolt is okay but, the lightning bolt striking in the circle is the best.

I even like Aquaman's 'A' on his belt, simple but, nice.

And of course WonderWoman's WW on her chest, as if what was on her chest wasn't enough to direct your eyes to that striking area on the amazon warrior, Yowza!:ww:

all of those are awesome, nightwings is pretty cool too

I like Wonder Woman's current symbol. It's a mix of her classic "golden eagle" and the more recent WW.

Robin's detachable R-symbol was good.

And then there's Power Girl...

The Flash symbol- It represents a legacy of the previous heroes who had taken the mantle. The symbol represents the past, present, and future for those who wear the scarlet cowl. If I was a villain, the hero I would fear the most would be the Flash, because you wouldn't even see him coming. It's impossible to fathom how fast the Flash really is. And don't even get me going on Hunter Zolomon, Zoom II.

Yellow Oval Batsymbol
S Shield
Hal's GL symbol
The Flash

my favorite symbols are in my avvy.

Speedy's boob arrow.. .... its soooo inspierd by powergirl .. but speedy has smaller boobs

tangent symbols were pretty good too

You know who doesn't get nearly enough love, is Mr. Terrific and his face-T.

And I mean, the jacket. You can't not love the jacket.

definately superman.

i didnt think martha kent caqme up with the "s" symbol..i thought it was the symbol of the house of El...

which is why zod's looked the way it did it was his house symbol...

i also like the flashes symbol!
