IMO Kurts voice was his worst aspect as a musician... but then again, his guitar playing wasn't that great either.....
His voice was perfect for the attitude and emotions his songs were meant to convey. For me, the true mark of a great singer is one who can interpret the message of his or her songs in the right manner, not necessarily one who can sing them well.
And besdies, Corgan isn't exactly the Sinatra of rock when it comes to vocal ability.
IDK... just not a big Nirvana fan.... prolly thank radio for that... overplaying everything.....
"Smells Like A Teen Spirit" is the only one that gets an insane amount of airplay, at least nowadays. But a lot of there stuff sadly slips under the radar. Check out the With The Lights Out... boxed set. A lot of great rarities that for me could sway your opinion.

most Nirvana songs had NO message, I defend Kurt a lot against the people trying to pretend they're music experts just by bashing some sacred cow.
