For those who have seen Infinity War, what was your favourite action sequence?

For me there were 3:

- The opening sequence with Thanos beating the s*** out of Hulk;
- The Titan battle against Thanos;
- Thanos arriving at Wakanda and wrecking everyone, until the very end of the film.

What about you?

The opening sequence. I don't really like the Titan sequence since it nerfs Thanos too much. But my opinion might change after second view on May 5th.

Don't like Titan because Thanos looks nerfed and then the heroes lost because of Starlord being a dumbass.

My favorites were the Thanos Hulk fight at the start and the overall Wakanda battle, especially Thor and Wanda's big area clear moves

I thought the Thanos battle on Titan was really inventive. Love how they combined to nearly beat him.

Loved all of the Wakanda scenes.

Also liked the battle with Ebony Maw in New York.

Seeing Stormbreaker break Titan skin and be embedded in Thanos.

Seeing Thor wield stormbreaker at large on Wakandan battlefield, most bad ass Thor evar so far IMO.

Dr Strange and his various spells and other powers being deployed against Thanos.

So is stormbreaker OP?

Also, was Thanos faking beinf defeated or something? I saw that clip as Thor was wedging the hammer into him...so then Thanos taunts him and just leaves?

I would imagine if you can taunt your opponent, then go do what you set out to do successfully, then Thanos wasn't really affected by stormbreaker.

Yes, kinda. Thanos with 6 stones can't stop it after Thor throws it.

Thanos doesn't really taunt him. I mean I guess it counts as taunting but it was more like Thanos was really badly wounded and just spoke the truth to Thor. Thanos was quite matter of fact the whole movie.

Thanos isn't defeated in any scene. With the exception of Titan (where is only slowed for a bit), he owns his opponents in almost every scene he's in.

He literally owns everyone he encounters in this film, to the point where he seems quite overpowered and unstoppable.

Which Thanos should be, in my opinion. So they nailed the brute force and power levels of the character.

Thought the mechanics of the end of the Titan stuff where they have him in the headlock and trying to remove the gauntlet was pretty cleverly-staged.

And yeah, the obligatory "okay Hulk, you got your surprise sucker-punch in, now I'll be ducking & weaving Muhammad Ali style and beating the piss out of you" opener.

Yeah, only think I hated about that scene was how they lost it because of Starlord. Wished thanos had just done it on his own without Starlord being an idiot

Ehh, the Star-Lord thing worked for me personally. He'd lost the love of his life, logic/rationality went out the window and he went into bat**** revenge mode. Tony'd do the same damn thing over Pepper, in all likelihood.

Tony DID do the exact same thing in Civil War. That whole bit was mirroring Cap/Tony. It might even play in part in making Tony realises how silly he's being not speaking to Cap.

True. Ironman did do something similar. i dont know, maybe it's just me. I just got irritated by Starlord in this film after the first scene with Thor which I liked

Both scenes are alike for the emotional aspects the characters are experiencing in that moment, their rage and their pain.

Both also too when giving in to those emotions allows for a negative outcome to occur.

One splits the Avengers more irrevocably than any point preceeding it and the other splits the universe (ultimately) in causing a team effort to fail.

No love for the Thanos in Wakanda scene?

I really love how overpowered he is in that scene (and he gets to use some of the Stones' powers too).

Sounds like Thanos does a lot off a**-kicking. I'm kind of embarrass for the heroes on this one.

The Star Lord bit wasn't technically a failure though. Strange says there is only way to win and they're still on that path. Removing the gauntlet might have bought them some time but they would have still lost. It might have actually been part of the plan for all we know (we don't know how much Strange told them).

Well, not really. They get that gauntlet off that hand, Strange is putting it on, and Grimace is done. Not much Thanos could do about it at that point.

Nope, because Strange says there is only one way to win and that wasn't it.

I can't even remember if that statement by him was before the headlock/gauntlet-grab or not, after a first viewing. Eep, still a bit of a blur.

If that one winning plan that Strange saw is all predicated on allowing Thanos to win on Titan then yeah sure.

This is true but Strange saw that future and how it pans out.

He does his visiting the future bit before.

Yep.

Tony Stark and Peter Quill have a history of being impulsive and letting their emotions get the better of them.
