Removing the freaking Gauntlet!
I kind of like that approach though. This movie belonged to Thanos. The tension should be wherever he is. And for 90% of the time...that's not in Wakanda. They played up the Wakanda fight, but the pivotal battle of the movie was on Titan. And in some ways that makes sense. The one with a major singular villain and a small group of heroes is probably going to have more tension.i agree. they couldve done a bit more imo. i didnt feel the danger and tension as much as the battle in titan. thors entrance was amazing but it couldve had 3x the impact if the heroes in wakanda were put in a situation where the audience feels they could actually lose the battle ala twin towers.
Even after 4 viewings i still can't pick one favorite. The Russos talked a lot about character based action on The Civil War extra features and they just continue to get better and better at it, with so many characters having different tones, fighting styles with also having their unique personalities shine through. Also they really REALLY excel at team based action. Seeing characters as different as Spidey, Iron Man, the Guardians and Doctor Strange team together and the way the Russos executed it was a total joy.
The Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian vs. Ironman, Dr. Strange and Spider-Man fight was the best fight scene IMO. Ebony Maw vs. Strange specifically was what I liked. Ebony Maw is such a BEAST in this movie and his means of combat was something we haven't seen in the MCU before. Well we haven't seen it besides Scarlet Witch moving stuff around. But let's be real, she doesn't levitate anything nearly as elegant as Ebony Maw tho....
