Infinity War Favourite action scene (SPOILERS).

i agree. they couldve done a bit more imo. i didn’t feel the danger and tension as much as the battle in titan. thors entrance was amazing but it could’ve had 3x the impact if the heroes in wakanda were put in a situation where the audience feels they could actually lose the battle ala twin towers.
I kind of like that approach though. This movie belonged to Thanos. The tension should be wherever he is. And for 90% of the time...that's not in Wakanda. They played up the Wakanda fight, but the pivotal battle of the movie was on Titan. And in some ways that makes sense. The one with a major singular villain and a small group of heroes is probably going to have more tension.

Whether or not they won the battle in Wakanda didn't matter depending on the result on Titan. I mean sure it matters if Vision lives or not, but the question was whether the Infinity Gauntlet would be completed.

I do get why people wanted that fight to have more intensity. But I kind of like that going in I didn't know the key fight was going to be away from the Earth.

Spidey, Strange and Stark in NY. What a great combo.

The fight against Thanos on Titan. Strange was amazing.

Wakanda after Thor arrives.

My absolutely favorite scene was when Thor threw his hammer at Thanos and then drove it even deeper. That was such an epic and badass scene.

The ny battle when tony suited up everyone inmy audience cheered and then he punches cull and deploys the new blasters. The titan battle was probably my favorite specially im vs thanos and dr strange vs thanos i love stranges spells and when he multiplies and straps thanos also when thanos blasts him with the power stone and he creates a diamond shield ( i forgot the name of the dimension where they practice and fight)
And throws it at thanos. Tonys new weapons were awesome the hammer punches the shield and the way he kicks thanos hand to the ground and traps it with a piece of the suit and then makes a hammer fist and cuts thanos damn that was awesome. I love the power boost they gave tony in this. Also storm breaker ripping through the blast of the gauntlet and stabing thanos.

It was like a comic page brought to live with stormbreaker cutting right through the energy and hitting thanos.

"Strangely" enough Dr. Strange has the best action sequences in this film with both the Ebony Maw fight and the Thanos one.

All of the action in this movie was definitely "my kind of jam". It was like a succession of 3rd act set pieces. The Russos weren't joking when they said the movie starts like a horror movie... Thor completely defeated and half the remaining Asgardians killed? Thanos curb-stomps Hulk and kills Loki in front a helpless Thor.

The Russos really went all out with the action in this movie, it was like every flavour we've seen so far in the MCU. New York establishes the Black Order but especially Ebony Maw in the "not to be trifled with" category. It felt like a callout to the original Battle of New York, and the teamwork between all four heroes was noteworthy. In fact this was a recurring theme in the whole movie, how well the mainline Avengers worked together, and with new heroes. Really felt like something that jumped right off the pages of a great comicbook.

Edinburgh was surprisingly good... to me it had a Winter Soldier vibe... it starts so suddenly and just keeps going balls to the wall. It also sets the stage for Wanda being (appropriately) buffed to top tier level. The Secret Avengers arrival was epic and really reminded you how the Russos/McFeely/Markus really understand the whole of the MCU and the team. They "get" everyone's powers so well and how to seamlessly integrate into thrilling action set pieces, while depowering/superpowering when the story calls for it.

Titan was probably THE highlight in a movie full of highlights. I agree with most, if I have to pick one this was it. The brief fight between the Avengers/Strange and the GotG was fun and inventive and the resulting dialogue was hilarious. As mentioned by many, Strange v Thanos was simply stunning and finally gave us a peek of what the good Doctor can really do when he ups his game. And of course the heroes v Thanos was, IMO, possibly the high water mark for the entire MCU. Yes, Thanos was a bit depowered for this to work but the choreography was incredible... the planning the heroes used was worthy of an end of the universe stakes fight.

Wakanda was great overall... it was like a reversal of the Battle of New York... the heroes are clearly overwhelmed from the beginning, and there's a general sense of dread that whatever they try is stalling the inevitable. Vision/Cap v Corvus Glaive was probably my least favourite scene and that's only because I've forced myself to pick a best and worst... it was still good. Black Widow/Okoye/Wanda v Proxima Midnight was brief but tense and displayed more of that teamwork that was just oozing in this movie.

Thor/Stormbreaker/Rocket/Groot arrival in Wakanda was possibly (for me) the most epic/stirring moment in the entire MCU so far. I agree if there was a slight tweak, perhaps show the tides clearly turning, but otherwise it captured that whole LOTR feel (as if Thor had instructed the heroes to look for his coming, at the first light, on the fifth day). His grand entrance, and the Avengers' reactions (especially Black Widow) had me shaking lol.

Thanos brushing aside the remaining heroes was epic in a downer but makes sense way and a reminder that this guy was already the most powerful being in the universe 5 minutes into the movie. Thor had one last epic moment but the fact it failed really enhanced the ending for me.

I think I'm going to have to catch the late show for this tonight, kind of worked myself into a frenzy just remembering the movie.

Picking a favourite action scene for this movie is nigh on impossible. They started out great and just get better and better. The stuff the Russo’s managed to pull off was truly astonishing at times.

Even after 4 viewings i still can't pick one favorite. The Russos talked a lot about character based action on The Civil War extra features and they just continue to get better and better at it, with so many characters having different tones, fighting styles with also having their unique personalities shine through. Also they really REALLY excel at team based action. Seeing characters as different as Spidey, Iron Man, the Guardians and Doctor Strange team together and the way the Russos executed it was a total joy.

I loved the scenes of the team ups. War Machine and Falcon in Wakanda. Too brief though

This, I lost count of how many times my jaw was on the floor watching this movie.

"Fun isn't something one considers when one balances the SHH, but this thread does bring a smile to my face."

The opening scene set up everything flawlessly. The see the audience deflated after the "we have a Hulk" moment ends with Hulk being surgically decimated by a Thanos with zero stones while his helpers don't even need to get their hands dirty set the tone perfectly. The sense of dread from that moment on is inescapable.

Dr. Strange vs Ebony Maw was perfect.

I loved all the action but that's been discussed plenty.

Some of these emotional moments destroyed me.

Iron Man and Spider-man coming in terms with a suicide mission and Parker realizing being an Avengers isn't all glory but still feeling pride all the same in a bittersweet way.

"It's kinda your fault"

"Don't you say that"

Killed me.

Gamora begging to die. Thanos taunting. Starlord crying. Bubbles.

Killed me.

Thanos crying. Red Skull revealing the tears are genuine. Gamora hating that Thsnos won and will continue to win despite her hatred for him and knowing she's forced to sacrifice herself just so he can destroy everything she truly cares about.

Killed me.

(Side note: Red Skull's new role was so poetically beautiful. He had no idea what he was dealing with during WW2. Now he's a cursed reaper type dude in a hidden spritual realm stuck for possibly an eternity. You almost feel bad for him. But it's so poetic how his thirst for power leads him far beyond he could see in ways few humans could concieve.)

Dr. Strange telling Tony it was the only way. And Tony's face.

Killed me.

Steve watching Bucky turn to ash. Okoye watching BP ash. Peter crying to Tony he doesn't want go only to ash.

Killed me.

And on a lighter note:

Drax eating chips and Okoye's disgust at Banner tripping in the Hulkbuster.

Killed my funny bone.

I guess I have nine lives.

Movie was a masterpiece BTW. I wouldn't change a nanosecond. I'm happy to have witnessed this from Iron Man to this point.

The Thanos dialogue is terribly underrated.

"All that for a drop of blood"

Omg it doesn't get more badass than that.

The Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian vs. Ironman, Dr. Strange and Spider-Man fight was the best fight scene IMO. Ebony Maw vs. Strange specifically was what I liked. Ebony Maw is such a BEAST in this movie and his means of combat was something we haven't seen in the MCU before. Well we haven't seen it besides Scarlet Witch moving stuff around. But let's be real, she doesn't levitate anything nearly as elegant as Ebony Maw tho....

Very underrated fight scene, one of my top 10 fight scenes in all of CBMs.
