I don't know. The repeal of the mandate is definitely going to take out Collins. She and Murkowsky are also out for the insane amount of continuing cuts to medicare each year. Cut Medicare by $25 billion each year, for 10 years. Johnson came out as no. Corker or Flake are a no, I forget which. And McCain has been starting to make noise about normal order again. Paul should be a no as well, because he is true believer in not blowing the deficit.

It's funny. Any other president wanting to pass any significant legislation had to get out, and lead the charge. Such as Obama campaigning for the ACA

Then we have Trump. Criticized for wanting things to pass, but being too lazy to lead the charge. No inspiring speeches in front of congress. At most just campaign rallies where he gives brief mention in between bragging about his electoral college win

Then you have moments like this. Where republicans REALLY want this to pass. They were probably hoping Trump wouldn't chime in at this point, and polarize it, and then he chucks a gernade into it. Saying he wants the individual mandate removed, and republicans started adopting that into an already wonky bill.

I mean this plan already lowered the taxes for the top richest people, and offset it by raising taxes on the middle class over time. It increases the deficit. They were already having a hard time securing votes. Then Trump metaphorically stumbles into the middle of the negotiations. Drunk, drooling, pee stain on his pants, and shouts, "OBAMACARE!", lol.

I hope it dies, I really do. :(

So this is happening--

"BREAKING: FCC votes to eliminate media ownership rules, paving way for one company to own multiple TV stations or both TV station/newspaper in one market."

... That does not sound good.

Fox News and Trump are going to love that.

It is important to point out that TV stations are different than tv networks.

So in between trying to kidnap a Turkish Cleric for the Turkish government for $15 million, and being a part of Trump's cabinet. Flynn apparently also tried to spring a US held Turkish prisoner held on federal charges. It appears he was sprung from jail, but from the federal prosecutors asking about his connections to Flynn, and the Turkish government.

Wonder if we'll be seeing Comey's testimony that Trump asked him to let the Flynn investigation go return in Mueller's case. Because I'm pretty sure trying to cover up an attempted kidnaping, and jail break, paid for by a foreign government would be a big no no.

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2017/11/16...-be-cooperating-with-flynn-investigation.html

The release of a well-connected Turkish-Iranian businessman from federal prison in New York earlier this month could signal a new phase in the ongoing investigation into former White House national security advisor Michael Flynn.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has expressed interest in a December 2016 meeting between Flynn and representatives of the Turkish government, in which Flynn was reportedly offered $15 million to deliver a political rival of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from the United States to Turkey. Flynn denies the allegations and his attorney has called them "outrageous."

According to NBC News, citing three sources, the probe is also investigating whether Flynn discussed ways to free Reza Zarrab, a wealthy gold trader with dual Iranian and Turkish citizenship and personal ties to Erdogan. Zarrab was indicted in 2015 in federal court for allegedly circumventing U.S. sanctions on the Iranian regime by facilitating millions of dollars worth of unlawful transactions. He was set to go on trial in New York later this month.

The Daily Beast reported Thursday that Zarrab was removed from the Metropolitan Correctional Center, a federal facility in New York City, though a spokesperson for the U.S. attorney's office said Zarrab remained in federal custody.
The Bureau of Prisons inmate locator shows that Zarrab was released Nov. 8, three days after NBC News reported that the special counsel had enough evidence to bring charges against Flynn.

Pretty much since Trump was elected.

So Trump has already commented on Franken, but refuses to acknowledge Moore. :hmm

But her emails!

and the lesser of two evils is still evil, folks.

It's gonna take decades to clean up the damage done by the Republican Party. It's going to be a brutal, uphill battle to restore all they've wrought.

I'm not sure it can be fixed. :( This is as bad as I've ever seen.

The extent of what they've done to this point is merely issue a few executive orders that can rather easily be redone through...executive orders.

they havent enacted any form of meaningful legislative changes at this point. Unless they somehow pull off votes on healthcare or tax reform, it shoudnt take much time to eliminate.

So far their biggest win after nearly a year in power is...Neil Gorsuch.

Which is huge, and could take this country back decades....not good.

They've been strangling the EPA quite nicely. :(

I'm more optimistic that when the pendulum swings the opposite way the Democrats and progressives will push us back to where we were or further.

I certainly hope so. My fear is Trump will get re-elected, I mean he still has tons of fans even though he's so awful. :(
