Yes but Supermans powers worked for the lifting NK scene, he used heat vision to burrow under it, then used flight and strength to lift it.

Also, in the public's eye, Superman is much stronger than Hulk, remember when most of the general public think of Hulk they think of the T.V series.

Why put restrictions on what the hulk does in the sequal? His strength is potentially unlimited. As long as he's angry enough, he should be able to perform virtually any feat of strengh, even one comprabable to Superman lifting and throwing a Kryptonite Island. As long as it's done tastefully, not just to prove how strong he is, I think it would be fine. If it's tied into the plot well, say If betty were on the verge of getting killed or if all the superheros in the Marvel universe were about to die, I say let hulk lift a 150 billion ton whatever to save the day; may be make him struggle a whole lot in the process, but you might as well establish him as the strongest one there is. It's the MotherF_ck_ng Hulk damnit!

I would like to see a pilot fly a jet at full speed straight into the Hulk, the pilot ejects and there is a big explosion and lots of smoke, and then we just see the Hulk walk out unhurt.

Also, a punch that sends Abomination through several empty buildings would be cool.

Oh God that's a perfect idea!!!! We really haven't seen anything like that outside of the cartoons and comics. And who better to show how it's done then Mr. Strongest-of-all.

Variation: Grab Abom by the legs, do the spinning move he did with the tank in the first movie, and send him upwards through several skyscrapers.

We already pretty much saw that in the first movie Bullets just bounced of his skin even the bullets from the choppers... sure they pissed him off.

And last time I checked Hulk gripping up that Hellfire was the dopest thing I have ever seen in terms of an action hero dealing with miltary salvos I love the reaction of the Pilot

He's Got my Missle! Then the Hulk bites the warhead off and spits it at the chopper.

Superman didn't do anything that Raw in the movie and never will

I love both superman and The HULK,so how about having the military use a small nuke on The HULK and abomination while their in the desert fighting.when the smoke clears the Hulk is walking off,with no sign of abomination.That would really show how powerful the HULK is.

sorry but there isn't a single realistic thing he can do that can top superman's antics.

picking up a building/skyscraper and chucking it is probably as far as it would go but with all this 9/11 stuff, sky scraper action would probably be best avoided...

still a skyscraper ways a lot less than a city sized object that supes chucked on what can only be considered as 'non-optimal' conditions

there is only so much a character that can't fly can achieve strength wise.

Sadly, I'll have to agree with the "Superman can lift anything in a movie and the Hulk can't" thing

Superman to the public means "A man that has superpowers" (And with the cape :-o, the cape adds alot to the public accepting Superman's strenght.) And you've got popularity too.
Hulk means monster. If hulk does the same thing that superman does, people will be like: "WTF? A monster with superpowers? Is this a joke?" People expect the Hulk to be more realistic and based on science. This is why they made Hulk so huge in the movie, so that the public would find it more realistic when the Hulk swinged that Tank around like a rag doll (That and so that there was an "Incredible" difference when Bruce transformed into the Hulk). If he wouldve been only 7 feet tall people wouldv'e been like (again): "WTF? A monster with superpowers? Is this a joke?"

Try picturing the Thing from F4 doing the same stunts as the Hulk. Ridiculous eh?

The largest thing that Hulk will be able to lift with effort (Or lift a side of it so that it rolls over) would be some huge mech that would only weigh a 100 tons max. Or else you'll soon find yourself all alone in the theatre.

there are other ways to portray Hulk's strength other than lifting an island like Supes did and copying is really gonna be bad taste, sure it worked for supes, but not for Hulk and besides we're supposed to see a new Hulk movie w/a different feel to it so why copy Singer's work? LL is a new director it's not gonna be good for his career to copy someone else's work he needs to establish himself as different from other directors out there.
i recall that someone pointed out here that the camera angles in SR were similar to Hulk when he fell from the jet at 60,000 ft so if that is the case then we have Singer immitating Ang's work and then Leterrier immitating Singer's work, if you think it worked for Supes lifting an island and that Hulk should lift more than what Supes did then looks like LL went 360 from what he said that he's not going to copy Ang's work.
