I vote tag division.

If we do that then it all involve the best teams from JCP, The Rock N Wrestling Era, Attitude Era etc to avoid the random pairings that has happened in recent years.

Yeah, I'd say no main event tag teams like Rock n' Sock Connection or Mega Powers.

Can't believe I missed the final, still my fav wrestler of all time beating my second fav of all time works for me. :D

I've been meaning to ask this since we entered 2014, what are 5 things you'd like to see happen this year in WWE and 5 matches?

1. A proper Daniel Bryan World title run
2. Summer of Punk III
3. Roman Reigns pushed in the mid-card
4. Seth Rollins makes a face turn
5. 3MB get a tag team title run

1. CM Punk vs Antonio Cesaro
2. Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar
3. Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose
4. CM Punk vs Batista
5. The Shield vs The Wyatt's

I was asleep for arguably the greatest match in Hype history. Wish Punk coulda pulled it out, but HBK probably had some backstage politics involved. :D

I think we should do the Tag Division. I wonder how Edge & Christian would do in there.

1) The Wyatt family actually do something big in a storyline, besides the Daniel Wyatt stuff. Besides good Harper matches, they are all flash and no sizzle.

2) The Return of the King of the Ring tournament. They should do it on Raw, they could use the second hour towards it. It would be a good replacement for the WHC briefcase. King R. Reigns?

3) Punk vs Bryan vs Cena for the WWE-WHC feud. Let the people decide their champ.

4) The Shield stay together for another year. I think these guys should roll together most of their careers. I think it would be cool if they were always competitive with one another and always a ? of who the best is. But they also realize no one works together like them and they could always have each others backs. I know I'm dreaming, but they are such a cool stable I don't want them to go.

5) Summer of Punk 2

Matches:

1) Punk vs. Cena vs. Bryan
2) Batista vs. Bryan
3) Reigns vs. Sheamus
4) Ambrose vs Langston
5) The Wyatt's vs. The Shield

Punk is my favorite wrestler and if he had to lose to someone it should be to the greatest in-ring performer of all time. Could you imagine that if Punk was around during the attitude era maineventing WM with Michaels? Just the thought would have been mind blowing. I actually felt it could rival some of the classics that Flair and Steamboat had in WCW.

Regarding Daniel Bryan's concussion suffered on last week's RAW, the feeling is still that it's pretty serious. As noted, he was kept off this weekend's live events and was at home resting.
Bryan managed to get through the match last week without missing any spots. However, at the end of the show when he was on top of the cage leading the "yes!" chants, right before the show ended Bryan suddenly stopped and sat there, looking around like he was unsure. A WWE stagehand laid on the ground, looked up at him and started gesturing for him to keep chanting. Bryan just looked at the guy seemingly completely confused. Bryan later told WWE officials that he barely remembered anything that happened in the cage.

Word going around this weekend is that Bryan's planned Royal Rumble match against Bray Wyatt is off.

Backstage, Bryan's big moment was a hot topic. A source said, "The whole backstage was in awe. Vince McMahon loves Bryan."

Damn that's crazy,I hope Daniel gets better by the Rumble match

I thought I logged into the Fantasy Prediction thread for a minute.

Shawn vs. Punk in the final, with Shawn coming out on top. If I'd have logged in earlier I would've predicted that exact match-up and final result... :o :cwink: :oldrazz:

Shame you didn't participate last night...The people's votes here affected all of the outcomes. It would have been great if you could have participated in Round 1 with all the "Money" matches in the tournament.

Yeah, lol. :D Still my ideal pick to win wasn't included in the first round so I doubt I'd have bothered.. :o

So Van....Do you think you'll be voting in the next Hype Cup for Tag Team titles two Saturdays from now?

Bi-Weekly Tournaments are best for business if you're wondering why I dont do them weekly :oldrazz:

Wow man that's tough. I hope the rest has been good for him and that the scans come back positive.

I can see them keeping Bryan away from the ring until the Rumble. Have him come in, do a few things and avoid taking serious bumps. Probably have him win, then keep his appearances to working the microphone or so.

Vince loving Bryan is a little surprising to see, I don't know why.

- Drew McIntyre and NXT trainer Robbie Brookside apparently “hacked” Sheamus’ Twitter account last night and cleared all of the tweets out. They also changed his name to “#Laoch” and changed his profile picture to just a solid orange block. Drew tweeted last night:

“Lot of tweets about @WWESheamus being hacked. It was myself and @RobbyBrookside Expect some delightful tweets as we hold his account hostage”

- We noted earlier this weekend that very little of the content on the WWE Network will be old territorial footage and while WWE will add new content weekly, they will also be removing content from time to time.

It’s being said that there will be 5-10 hours per week of material that’s put up and taken down that doesn’t fit into the parameters of every DVD release and all the pay-per-views. There will be very little content from the defunct 1980′s promotions. There will be some 80′s content but the concentration will be the 90′s and 00′s, WWE, WCW and ECW.

"Vince loves Bryan" is totally them just covering their asses to make it look like they planned it all the time. I guarantee that he's shot down Bryan's push probably plenty of times, or at the very least he doesn't see him as a long term main event investment.

Heh, say that last part five times fast. :o

Also, I think it's time for Bryan to drop the flying headbutt. I always cringe from time to time seeing someone do it after Benoit. Bryan has plenty of other spots, so he doesn't need the headbutt anymore.

Faces of the Company over Time:

Bruno Sammartino:

Sammartino01_110120.jpg

A 5'10, 265 pounder with a mat based brawling style. Some like to use him in the Argument that size equals company success for WWE but honestly the guy was like a tremendously shorter Antonio Cesaro.

BOB BACKLUND:

Bob-Backlund.jpg

A Skinny Technician with a "Patriotic American hero " persona that headlined WWE for 6 years until fans started getting behind Hulk Hogan more and getting tired of his "Howdy Doody" persona

HULK HOGAN:

HulkHogan.jpg

A formerly 6 ft 7 musular guy with limited mobility in the ring and a limited moveset that was fortunately the most charismatic "face of the company" type by this point that Vince seems to have an affinity for ever since his era. The prime example of the Muscles = Money philosophy

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN:

austinwall.jpg

A 6ft 2 slender, beer drinking, bird-flipping, potty mouth rebel that was a technician turned brawler. Represented the working class with his anti-authority nature and lack of Greek god attributes. Under normal circumstances, Vince would not have wanted him as the face of the company but he needed him more than anything else. He's also the perfect example of "Larger than life" not meaning "Larger than Size" automatically

THE ROCK:

The-Rock.jpeg

A 6 ft 5 African-Samoan with a witty jokes, a foul mouth, a million catchphrases and movie star looks. A guy who under normal circumstances would have been who Vince pushed over Stone Cold Steve Austin since he had the clean cut corporate look that Vince also seems to favor. His physique was not too slender and not too hulking and while having a limited moveset, he had energy and mobility to compensate for it.

JOHN CENA:

john-cena-john-cena-11497823-624-388.jpg

A muscular 6 ft 1 Superhero with the energy of The Rock in his prime, The American Hero persona of Bob Backlund, and Charisma that arguably rivals Hogan but sadly all wrapped into a package of a bland gimmick. The poop joke-cracking, charity doing, baby kissing, Wanna-be marine boy scout that has shown signs of life when forced out of his comfort zone both on the mic and in the ring. Another example of the "Muscles = Money" philosophy but sadly an example of Vince Mcmahon forcing someone on the audience since some claim that Cena is what turned them away from Wrestling.

Ultimately though, it should stand out like a sore thumb how each "face of the company" stood out for different reasons and each had a look that reflected the change of the times. So what this should tell all wrestling fans is...YOU CANNOT and SHOULD NOT try to make an Assembly line of "faces of the company" because as the times change, the masses' taste and preferences change and idealistically the "face of the company" should reflect those changes. Vince should also know that the different between the Hulkamania times and now is that Hulk wasnt forced on the audience nor was Sammartino if he's chalking it up to Muscles.
