🇺🇸 Fell Out of a Coconut Tree, It's Kamalot: The Kamala Harris Thread

US News
Harris fever has, by far, exceeded my expectations and I hope it holds. We'll see how she's attacked and how she'll hold up. You know what's been missing from the discussion?

Trump is flippin' cause he knows if he loses the election that he's Effed. His sole concern is about himself and I predict he'll be unable to act and speak rationally because of his fear. He'll strike out incoherently at Harris and, hopefully, seal his own fate.

I wanna buy a ringside ticket.
Trump: She's not a real candidate! Couldn't win a REAL primary. Probably too dumb. Cacklin' Kamla LOST in 2020 to Crooked Biden she'll lose to me! -🍊

I like Venn diagrams too but this is listed in Republican opposition research against Harris. Why? Because they know sounding college-educated turns off non-college voters. A lot of voters love Trump because he sounds like a ****ing idiot - he’s on their brain wavelength. I think that’s an advantage Biden had over Hillary Clinton besides the more obvious median state electoral college identity advantage.

This is a long standing thing I’ve brought up before if not here than I did elsewhere about Democrats. It goes back a long time to like even George Bush being portrayed as a bit of an idiot helped him against John Kerry.

I am trying not to get to caught up in this, the last 48 hours have been incredible to watch and experience, while i dont typically believe polls, it nice to see Harris leading in almost all the polls now, and the money she has raised in 24 hours, i read is something like $250 Million, $81 Million in 24 hours with 60% of that being first time donors, thats incredibl.
Read this morning, she will announce her VP on August 7th during a virtual delegate roll call before the convention, as she has secured 98% of the delegates needed to be the parties nominee, only 54 undecideds left, getting endorsments from virtually every democrat has helped and the massive ground swell of support coming from all over the country, especially black women is encouraging, i havent seen this sort of support from the black community since Obama and he won big in both elections. That said, remember, in 2016 Trump won by winning the electorial college, he lost the popular vote to Hillary by 3 million people, they are still focused on the electorial college, they arent concerned with the popular vote, so swing states like Michigan and Pennsylvania are incredible important, Harris will need every state she can get, thus her VP pick has to be someone that can give her an edge in those states, even though Trump was beating Biden in those states, i would be curious if those numbers have changes with Kamala as the nominee

If Taylor Swift wants to really drive up voter turnout, she needs to do a full blown endorsement soon. She can’t really tiptoe around like she did in 2018 (endorsing Marsha Blackburn’s opponent) or 2020 (proudly displaying her Biden 2020 cookies). And make unannounced stops at voter registration sites around the country.

How have Republicans not gone after the obvious fact: Kamala is the oldest woman of color to be a presidential nominee.

EDIT: I forgot Hillary was 68 in 2016.

I never post on the Politics forum but i just wanna say, I feel hope again. I am all in with Kamala. I feel hope again and even though this is going to be a tall order and she has a TON of work to do in just 4 months... I think we can do this, y'all.

So, according to a yahoo story this morning, Republicans are furious Biden stepped down and think it was illegal to swap out him for Kamala and plan on spending millions in swing states to challenge it in the courts, this is literally a last ditch effort to stop Kamala from being the nominee, this actually could get bogged down in courts, especially red states like Ohio who are run by maga republicans, we will see how this goes, but its more attempts by republicans to get their way and using Trump tactics to accomplish that goal

Democrats are fine, because the DNC hasn’t happened yet (and while Biden was the presumptive nominee, he wasn’t locked in). Republicans are just talking out of their behinds … meaning they’re scared.

Even conservative judges are going to laugh the GOP out of court with this.

Lets hope so, but this is a defirent sort of election and republicans a scrambling to stop this, they are desperate to win this election and this doesnt shock me that they would stoop to this sort of effort to turn things around for their cult leader, there was a time not long ago where this wouldnt even be an idea, now, its their go to

Voters consistently vote for the candidate they would like to have a beer with.
I can't criticize, because that is the same process I used in selecting my cardiologist.
