Yes,...that top left panel when he's swinging into see Thor. That just knocked me out as a kid. I knew as a kid that Kirby was putting his distinctive magic on it. I've always felt this was a very special book. Thanks Malus.

Yeah, it is interesting that the FF don't do more crossovers, this was great.

The whole book was so dynamic. I remember being so excited at Kirby's interpretations of all my favorite characters. At the time I read this book (in a reprint) Ross Andru was doing Spider-Man, several artists were doing Daredevil. It was such an important book to me.

Take some of the drama and excitement from this book and plug them into the next movie.

Yeah there is and was a lot of excitement in Lee and Kirby's stories, they were just master story tellers and all of us connected with these fantastic tales.

And yes there are at most possibly two movies of this trilogy left.

Something huge needs to happen but what I have no idea.

I once had FF #5 through #400 but sold them all a few years back. I have to say that the Lee/Kirby years are undoubtedly the best of all but followed quite closely by the John Byrne stuff. I would really like to see a Negative Zone story if they ever do another film.

Fitting....my 1000th post on my favorite thread. I don't have anything to post on here yet (I'm still working out how to do it Malus..the picture sharing site is confusing me a bit.)....But nonetheless....ta da.

OK....agent....

#1, find a picture you want to save.
#2, right click and hit save as (to your desktop is the easiest way)
#3, open the pic site....

http://www.imageshack.us/ is the easiest site that I know of....you will get a page that looks like this...

click BROWSE, and then open your desktop, click on the picture you want to upload, and hit host it.

then choose the Forum link 1, just copy that and paste it onto a post here....and you're done....

Also, you don't have to sign up on imageshack, you can still host there it just won't show you the pics you have hosted there...

Thanks for posting the illustrated instructions, Kel!

My computer and my scanner are in two different places for a few days, but I'll be back shortly with some new FF stuff.

I have to start taking some pictures of my stuff.... I do have some of the Kubricks and the MiniMates, plus I have a little scroll on cloth from a John Bryne piece I got from eBay a while back but I don't know its' history.

In the meantime, I scanned this in house ad in from the 1970's. I used to have this set hanging in our basement years ago and to my great dismay I think it got tossed in a cleaning binge at my parents' old house years ago. Note the price for all four is all of $1.50. The repro done in France of the Doom poster sometimes gets listed on eBay for many times that. I did find my Fantastic Four poster by Kirby behind some boards in the attic but it is in poor shape. That was in a different set as I recall.

This was out at the time of the Marvel Action Hour as part of the K-Mart promotion that had FF and Iron Man plastic cup and contest . These were at the consession areas. Ben stands about 5' tall.

I love that FF poster IM. Mine is a bit on the poor side too, but they are hard to find. I thought I had a pic on my website but I guess not. I'll post a couple of the older posters.

This one was a Marvel Mania poster from 66 and it came in a set of eight.

Thanks Grog! I know I've seen more vintage posters on a website somewhere.. Do you remember the blacklight version of the Kirby stuff? I've seen that on eBay sometimes too.
