Final Crisis: Revelations

Is that a joke or does Spectre literally have the power to do 'whatever he wants'?

He's the wrath of God.

Don't think of him as a Superhero, he's literally punishing those who've done wrong. He a specialist in dealing out very ironic punishments really.

So yeah, he can do whatever he wants, but he doesn't really have any freewill.

Ah, ok, I didn't know that much about the character. I thought he was more or less a supernatural-ish superhero. Either way, preview looking good.

Yeah, he's the single most powerful "character" in the DCU. He's the spirit of God's vengeance bound to a dead human host. But, no, he doesn't get to pick and choose what he does with those powers himself, he answers to the higher authority.

I'm pretty sure Red Hulk could beat him, though.

Hah, no doubt, Red Hulk is an unstoppable juggernaut. I doubt even The Presence could stand toe-to-toe with Rulk.

Though, in all seriousness, how exactly doee one go about defeating Spectre? Sounds like he more or less is unbeatable.

How to beat him?

Don't do anything wrong and pray he doesn't come after you for jaywalking...

Well, you'd have to get creative. In Day of Vengeance, the Shadowpact nearly accomplished it twice. First, they channeled all the raw magic in the universe and in other universes into Captain Marvel, who was battling Spectre at the time. It probably would have worked if the Enchantress, who was feeding him the power, could have kept it up a little longer.

The other time, they used a little girl whose unique magical power was to temporarily borrow all of someone else's mystic abilities for some time. So she stole the Spectre's powers, making him powerless...which also unfortunately made him impervious, since he's nothing but a formless thought without his powers.

That preview looks awesome. Yet another reason why I think that the Final Crisis tie-ins are better than the Secret Invasion ones.

The Spear of Destiny is the primo weapon to take down the Spectre.

I hope either the main Final Crisis book or this one explains....

How Light got a hold of Donna, Raven, and Starfire in the first place.

Unless I missed something in another book somewhere.

Dr. Light has a rape fantasy of raping Donna Troy, and his fantasy includes having "Raven" and "Starfire" holding her down...

they were just innocent girls, or hookers...

So they went ahead and killed [blackout]Dr. Light.[/blackout] He was just starting to become an interesting villain. :( But then again, why cry for a [blackout]rapist[/blackout]? Screw him.

He really did become one of the coolest, but I love that they went and killed him. Screw that cyclical western comicbook cyclical BS cycle bull.

Dr. Light became the villain that you just loved to hate. Which is totally awesome :woot:

Love villains like that. Maybe they'll make Rainbow Rider more hardcore to take his place.

I'm wondering if he's gone for good though....he's been a major part of the solicitations for Revelations, and there are 4 more issues.

I wish this wasnt so tied into "52 Aftermath: Crime Bible: 5 Lessons in Blood, a.k.a. The Question: 5 Lessons in Blood."

Confused as to why Spectre is suddenly going after Montoya.

Me too. Are you saying that would be explained in those issues? cause I didn't read em...
