The image in discussion appeared in Variety. So they did use it.

I saw the movie, and I generally really liked it. It feels long, but I don't think I would've cut anything out.

And is it Oscar bait, or does it not come off as that pretentious?

I really liked it. Considering it had the same writer, there were a lot of similarities to Forrest Gump.

The movie is exceptionally well made.

I read Ebert's review, and I think he does make some very good, well stated points. Not sure I agree with them, but I mean I don't care for when people rag on Ebert all the time. The dude knows his **** and he's a good writer.

I'm seeing this and Valkyrie tomorrow.

A truly beautiful film. Well written and portrayed well. Acting was strong across the board and the scenery and wardrobe were fantastic. Third best movie I saw in 08 next to TDK and Slumdog Millionaire coming in at first.

This was definitely one of the most beautiful films I've seen all year. Incredibly acted, beautifully written, and amazing shot. This movie had me engaged the entire time watching it, and it sure as hell didn't feel very long. I loved it.

"Did I ever tell you I was struck by a lightning seven times?"

:lmao:

This movie was beyond wonderful...Also a pretty darn good holiday film as my family enjoyed it along with me...Those lightning scenes were gold haha

i enjoyed it, and preferred it to valkyrie which i also saw today. my only question is that the daughter didnt know that her mother was a ballet dancer, but she opened a studio to teach ballet?

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

I'll be the only one to say this: Missed oppertunity.

Great premise but man did it fail. It should have been called "Big Fish but without all the heartwarming crap".

It did have some moments that were good and al lthe stuff to do with babies, I wil ladmit, made me cry (but thats also because of a personal issue with my son now) but overall this was bad.

People saying Pitt for an oscar for this?!? Seriosuly?!? God I hope he isnt nominated cuz he really didnt do to much.

The katrina thing and him going to India was horrible. Whats the best way to pull an audience out of a movie? Show the actor doing something the actor does in real life!

Brad Pitt: "Yeah, we shot those India scenes ..we made it a family event actually. Here I was filming a movie about a man who ages backwards and Angelina, my wife, is just a few feet away scooping up babies into a burlap sack to bring back home to America."

This movie wasn't bad at all. Kind of depressing as the movie delved too much into mortality, and didn't really take much time in explaining anything else. All in all, a memorable movie worth watching again.

The last movie I watch this year easily takes the title for best movie I've seen this year. And this was my 26th movie!

Fixed.

Overall, I thought it was a very well made movie, but it was very long and slow at parts. It was emotionally gripping and visually stunning, but the movie just didnt live up to my expectations from the trailer and reviews. The acting was phenomenal and Brad Pitt's performance was in my opinion, Oscar worthy. But the whole time while I was watching the movie, I was just thinking that it was a sequel to Tim Burton's "Big Fish". I still thought it was a beautiful film though. Especially in the WWII scene. Seeing the machine guns come flying right towards the audience made me feel like I was right there inside the movie! Props to Fincher to filming the greatest and most realistic war scenes I have ever seen in my life. In conclusion, it was a decent movie, but it just didnt live up to all the high expectations set up for it.

4.5/5

Third best movie of the year for me, after The Dark Knight and Slumdog Millionaire.

I saw it earlier today.

Benjamin Button is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful films I've ever laid eyes on. The performances, the story, the pacing, the cinematography, the music. All of it is simply amazing. And for a film that's nearly 3 hours in length, none of it dragged. I was never bored with any of it. I enjoyed nearly every single second of this film.

Go see it. This is state of the art filmmaking.

10/10

I really loved this. I know a huge complaint from critics and viewers was that it was a little too slow, but I really appreciated that the film was told in a slow, meandering manner. It seemed realistic since the story was, for all intensive purposes, told by an old man.

Awesome movie. Watched it in a near sold out crowd.

The trailers shown with it:

-Gran Torino
-Last Chance Harvey
-Duplicity
-Revolutionary Road
-The Soloist

-TNC

I loved every second, it's got some beautiful vivid imagery, some great humor, and it really immerses you in the past eras that we visit. From the music, to the busy streets, to the quiet town blocks.

And I shed a manly tear at the end. It was a beautiful film.

This movie is beautifully filmed and works on many levels. It is one of the year's best. While I did enjoy Valyrie slightly more of the Christmas opening movies, this was stil one hell of a movie. Predictable at times, but meticulously written and sends the audience a great message. Likely to get an Oscar nom, and deserves it.

Was no one else bothered by the fact he had no emotion?!? wtf people , c'mon!!!

Also start listing fave. quotes please :woot:

One of mine was at the very end when Cate is holding a baby (those who have seen it know what Im talking about :cwink:)
