Overall, I thought it was a very well made movie, but it was very long and slow at parts. It was emotionally gripping and visually stunning, but the movie just didnt live up to my expectations from the trailer and reviews. The acting was phenomenal and Brad Pitt's performance was in my opinion, Oscar worthy. But the whole time while I was watching the movie, I was just thinking that it was a sequel to Tim Burton's "Big Fish". I still thought it was a beautiful film though. Especially in the WWII scene. Seeing the machine guns come flying right towards the audience made me feel like I was right there inside the movie! Props to Fincher to filming the greatest and most realistic war scenes I have ever seen in my life. In conclusion, it was a decent movie, but it just didnt live up to all the high expectations set up for it.
