He hasn't done a whole lot in GoT but he seemed like a decent actor in that show. Couldn't care less if he's gay in real life, as long as the show delivers.

Yeah, its possible they cast Jones purely for his chemistry with Colter. I like to assume that's how they went about it.

Could have been, but I doubt it. I read a casting call that sounded like it was for Iron Fist and the age range was 25-28

Could be that Philipe is playing Wendall Rand, around the time of his death? Seems like a waste for a part like that, unless they plan on doing a lot of flashbacks.

Orson Randall, maybe? Seems a bit early to tap that storyline.

Between that, and the fact that everyone has been silent... I think it's legit. I feel most casting rumors (minus cameos) are shot down in a day or so, and the actors usually add each other (Charlie Cox and Kristen Ritter, IIRC).

It's legit. Both The Wrap and EW are official Hollywood tradesites, they wouldn't out something as big as this if it weren't true, that's not how they do things at all.

Now, I don't know that much about Iron Fist's solo adventures/storylines (I mainly know him from the Defender comics) But I can't wait to see what Finn brings to the table!

First i am finally happy the casting of danny rand is over and we finally got our lead. I havent seen finn work before so i have no judgement on his acting. I hope he does the role well. Also i am happy that they didnt race bend the character for bs pc reasons and kept the character white like he is in the comics and play off the actual comics aspect to the character and his history and story. Now its still crazy to see folks either think just cause the character is martial artist and asian based character he needed or should have been asaian. So hopefully once the show gets into production all those silly debates on asian stuff can be dropped. Plus i said this before i am sure we will likely see more oriental characters poping up in this show or other minorities in this show.

Finn reminds me of a blend of a bunch of actors - at times and at differing angles Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, Matt Damon, Paul Walker, Heath Ledger, and then as the love child of Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy

Here is a recent picture of him with short hair from earlier this month

I don't get any Ewan Mcgregor off him (although god I wish I did) but to me he looks like he could easily play Leo Fitz's older brother on Agents of SHIELD.

His hair is still a bit too curly for my liking. I hope he straightens it.

Eh. I can live with that length. It's not all that curly as it is just messy, to me.

If they go so far as to bleach it (who knows for sure if they will or not) than certainly straightening it out some is a relatively small change. I agree that at that length it mostly looks messy, but I don't know if going blonde would possibly make any curls more obvious.

We have no real clue how his look end up in show. Just cause he looks one one rifht now. We don't know what color style and hair length he will have in his show. Same goes with outfits and his costume. He could look really different from any current pics of him once he is in character.

This is one of those roles for me were the actor absolutely has to look 100% convincing when performing the moves that he's taught, given the level that Iron-Fist is at.

Anyone have any clue as to whether Jones has any previous martial-arts training?

i am sure finn will do some stunts and fighting things too. Its not like he couldnt pull off a few moves here and there.
