First Look at Frank Castle/The Punisher!

I don't know much about this project (I haven't followed anything except basic casting), but judging solely on that photo -- I'm thinking it looks more like Dolph's Frank instead of Thomas Jane's. And that would be a step down.

I know the bright white skull is bad for camoflage, but I think it needs to be brighter than that!

 

You can tell all of that from one picture of Ray pointing the gun? All I can tell is the Bradstreet influences and the look is dead on Punisher Max. We just can't see his face. Otherwise there is NOTHING else you can really assume from that pic. He does look the part.

 

mmm, not so sure. makes me miss tom jane. then again, i didn't like jane's first photo either.

I was kind of hoping it would be a little brighter too, but I feel that's nitpicking... I was kind of thinking the kevlar over long sleeves look would work for him, and it looks really good. I also appreciate that they stuck in so many gun modifications for his gear... the red dot sight, the silencer, the grenade launcher, the extended clip on the pistol... they didn't forget the guns n' ammo aspect. Pretty bad-ass.

 

I don't want brighter. I want Punisher Max. Dark, gritty, and violent. This is only one pic though. I doubt he's wearing that the entire film.

 

Hehe, can't get over how much he looks like Seagal t:
The skull is faded looking, but as such doesn't look as tacky. I mean personally I love my bright white Punisher shirt, but it would make you stick out like a sore thumb, plus in a way it looks generic.

Not the best picture, but it does look more like MAX.

Don´t like it at all, I´m getting a Steven Seagal vibe from it.

 

Nice, I like the cinematography of that pic which is giving me an urban/ gritty feel

 

We're just used to seeing Segal in that pose but Punisher did it before him and had his hair before him too.

 

Awesome! Now we need a Jigsaw pic.

 

That, and I like others, do enjoy the bright white skull. Who cares if it's bad for Camo? It's a movie. Let's pretend that white doesn't stick out

 

Heh, same here. First thing that popped into my head when I saw the pic was, "Seagal?"

 

well he looks a little like segal because his eyes are squinting - otherwise he looks a million times better than segal.

the more I look at the shot the more I like it. and there's no point in releasing a punisher shot if he isn't shooting a gun.

He's gonna look awesome in the trench coat.

 

I think the pic is great. Finally, there is an actor playing Frank Castle that physically fits the character. I also like the fact that he carries multiple weapons and you see the skull through his outerwear. This is important as the skull also scares criminals into shooting his kevlar vest, thus giving him some look of invulnerbility. The grenade launcher is a good touch as well.

 

yep he does look like seagal IN THIS PIC, because we don't clearly see his face

but don't be afraid, Ray Stevenson is a very talented actor, and i'm sure he will be perfect for the role

 

If we keep up the Segal comparisons LGF will be forced to send another photo where we can see his face. LOL Keep it up.

He has slicked back hair like Punisher Max, he has the outfit, and he's gotta squint to see through the scope, and it's the proper way to hold the gun. It's just that Segal always had to pose that way because he had nothing else to do.

Man, do these people even read the comic or have seen the Punisher in the comics? Ray is the Punisher in that pic, awesome picture! I think most of these people prefer a blonde pretty boy playing the Punisher.
