FIRST LOOK! holy mother of god!

One of my friends who is a movie freak said that AMC shows sneek peeks to movies months prior to debut in the theatres. So for Decemeber, 30 minutes prior to the showing of a movie in AMC theatres they will be showing a sneak Peak to Ghost Rider!

I'll let you know what it showed when it comes out.

i used to work for AMC was a projectionist and they got movie tops two weeks in advance. any longer then that and there is no room for the print and it could be damaged and seeing as AMC only rents their prints they wouldn't get them too early seeing as they have to pay for a movie that they aren't makeing any money on.
now they do advanced showings but they are at 10pm and not 12 because they had to pay more money to keep the thearters open longer and so they upped the show time up.

i would like to know who your friend talked to because i think they are A) lieing B) don't know what they are talking about.

He means that when you go to an AMC theater, they have a deal I believe is called "The AMC First Look." Before your movie starts, instead of just watching still pictures go by and those trivia questions, they do previews of upcoming movies with interviews with the actors/directors, etc.

If it is true, then awesome! Gonna go see The Nativity Story, Night at the Museum and of course, Rocky! haha. Those movies are in Dec. and I go to an AMC theater. Hope the "First Look" for GR is there!

Yup. It's true. For the whole month of December Ghost Rider will be playing it's FIRST LOOK, which is a few minutes of clips and interviews, in front of PG-13 and R-rated movies at all AMC theatres. Again, we're governed by the MPAA, so don't expect anything too intense there, but it's a nice segment. There may be a softer "PG" version running before A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM but that's not for sure. Posters will start going up in the next week or so, and then standees, and then REALLY cool outdoor stuff that will be on the side of buildings and billboards. December really kicks things off in a big way.

Awesome. Thanks for the update MSJ. Of course, it kinda sucks for those of us who are no where near any AMC theatres but... that's life, I guess. Maybe that sneak peak will show up online sometime, eh?

Really excited about December now too. I'm really lookin' forward to seein' how the promo campaign continues. The first time I see a standee live (if I do), I'll likely **** myself.... twice.

Living in Socal means its all Regal theaters here. They do have a Regal first look like AMC has, so im wondering if the first look of GR will be hitting theaters here as well????

Yeah first looks are quite common. Spiderman 3 had them months ago before there was much footaage and Regal/Edwards theatres.

The original poster did not say the clip was thirty minutes, he said it would play thirty minutes before the film in question.

.........i forgot the exact date but i think its EARLY december.

you know those previews/behind the scenes stuff that plays before a movie? (at my regal cinemas theater) they were playing the trailer and after wards they said they would have a first look BTS thingy in december...
