Somebody smuggled a dvd copy of Superman returns into Asgard
The material, whatever it is, looks sculpted to show muscle definition.
you just showed a full CGI iron man suit. you think they will replace hes arms with CGI arms??
what the f... guys?
They don't need to make the entire thing CGI to apply those lighting effects to it. He's talking about just making the padding on the arms, which looks a bit rubbery in that unembellished pic, look more like metal with some lighting effects in post-production.

Speaking as a DC fan..
You Marvel lot are hitting the jackpot in the costume stakes![]()

It looks more like it's just skintight and the definition of Hemsworth's arms is showing through. But I don't know if that's actually how they achieved the effect. It could very well have some kind of anatomically correct padding as part of the armor. You're out of your mind. That's what you call "working out" ....
when i first got online a couple hrs ago, i was totally surprised to see first official still of chris hemsworth as thor. I was like holly crap it looks great. So its is pretty much that modern/copiol design which looks good. As for the look of the costume it looks great. Sure i seen the comments it looks like rubber/plastic, sure it is probably actually those materials or what not. which is probably to make it more breathable and flexible for the actor to wear and not be super weighed down like an actual metal armor would be. But with the right lighting, sound effects, and special effects enhancments i am sure it will look even better on screen. Also very good first still to go with for thor, unlike that crappy first still of routh as superman for superman returns.

Might be because the shot has been taken from slightly above.I think he looks pissed

However they did it, it looks good to me.Put it this way .... the material is of the "smedium" variety. It's hugging his arms tighter than a crack ****e to a crack pipe. LOL. The guy spent a ton of time buffing up for the role. I have no doubt in my mind that he's not one to need any extra molding of his suit to look muscular.

With helmets.
