Yeah, he easily looks like he could be Hemsworth's father. Plus, Branagh is a phenomenal actor. Not that I'm unhappy with Hopkins or anything. I just think it would've been cool to see Branagh play a role in the film rather than staying entirely behind the camera.

Why does everyone think this looks good? It looks more like a wanna-be superhero costume than a Norse god! What is the rubbery arm covering supposed to be? It looks like a literal interpretation of how scale-mail is represented in the newer comics.

Yeah, I'm sure the director of this multi-million dollar project, and all of the post-production/effects people will miss that detail and leave the look of the arms like that.

Is it just me or does Hemsworth bear vast similarity to Brad Pitt in that shot.

I was thinking of like a burnished, metallic green look with tan fur instead of yellow fabric. That could be cool. It's similar to Coipel's redesign of Loki's costume too, and we know now that the designers are clearly taking cues from Coipel.

They'll just tone the colors down. It'll be more like a pine green and dirty yellow.
