They both throw their weapons (shield and batarang)...the batarang finds its target, the shield doesn't.

Caps says "Shield missed...NN!" TANG! (batarang hits him in the head)

Batman says (while he's grabbing an almost unconscious Caps by the neck) "GOT YOU! Hang on..."

Caps goes "Glgg...."

Bats says "We'll be out of here in a second" and he lifts that lid thing, then asks Caps "Are you all right?" while the Caps is grabbing on Batman for support.

Caps says "Swallowed some water and took a bump on the head. You're good with that...Batarang, you called it? But I'm fine...except for coming up short. I lost, and maybe doomed an entire universe"

I have the comic right here with me, and I just copied everything word by word, so yeah....Batman won

I'm not sure what the hell is going on here, but in the trade (that's what I have, not the single issue) cap definitly wins....

Maybe they printed it different for dc and marvel so both guys won?

I don't know what happened, but in the trade, batman DEFINITLY looses.

Yes definitly....the fight goes exactly the same way, except the final panel where they come out of the sewers has different dialogue, with batarang replaced by shield.

I find nothing about differences between the individual issues and the collected trade paperback editions

Perhaps that's how your mind saw it?

Perhaps teh UK got a different edition that no one knows?

The way I saw it, cap's shield rebounded and hit batman and ko'ed him....he did the same thing to bane, and hence the comment ''you're good with that shield''
