For those who enjoy following such things, there's a lot of epic trolling going on in the Facebook pages "International Burn a Koran Day" and "STOP International Burn a Koran Day". It's quite a circus of idiocy.

Why am I not surprised that Westboro would chime in? Are they going to burn the 'pride' flag along with the US flag and Quran?

In the age of the internet, anything can go viral and cause a stir worldwide.

Indeed. Marx could tweet "I haz *****. Lookin for ladies lolz!" And it would be on CNN instantly

I have to wonder though, what pisses terrorists off more? Koran burnings or C.I.A drone attacks?

Koran burnings probably.

It pretty much establishes that Americans are anti-muslim and therefore legitimate targets.

Sounds like the Westboro Baptist Church got jealous of another pseudo-Christian wackjob getting more attention than them.

It's like the Hydra of Stupidity! Cut off one stupid head, another sprouts right up!

And I see we're are now up to 5 Hypesters who agree with this, yet none of them will say why.

and they don't owe you an explanation

A Florida pastor says his church will "not today, not ever" burn a Quran, even if a mosque is built near ground zero.

Pastor Terry Jones had threatened to burn the Muslim holy book on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks over plans to build an Islamic center near where terrorists brought down the World Trade Center nine years ago.

He flew to New York and appeared on NBC's "Today" show. He says that his Gainesville, Fla., church's goal was "to expose that there is an element of Islam that is very dangerous and very radical."

So Jones says he's proved his point because some Muslims are rioting and inflicting violence as a result of this (which they are), but it doesn't really seem like a "win" to me. If he had burned the Quran, there would have been violence. Now that he didn't burn the Quran, there's still some violence, plus the attitude that Americans are "scared" of Islam. Seems like that can be used by the radicals to incite violent attacks too.

But they owe me an explanation. One of them ate all my goddamn peanut butter and I won't rest until I find the culprit.

Ironic, since he also exposed the fact that there's an element of Christianity that is very dangerous and very radical.

I find ferrets to be very radical and dangerous. Maybe I should start a ferret burning event to show just how dangerous they are.

That would be dangerous, as flaming ferrets would run rampant and the fire would spread and many would die.

Guys like him are very dangerous people. I bet you any money he probably doesn't really believe in God. He's just a nutcase who knows that if he says he believes in God and spews around his ******** real good that people will follow him. Turns out he's not that good at it since he's only got 50 people in his congregation, so he has to figure SOMETHING out.

Well, this ****e got what he wanted. He wanted television cameras on him and he wanted the attention of the world. He got it. He won either way. I think if anything that it shows the media in this country is flawed more than anything. They'll put any piece of crap on television thinking that it will get them rating.

This guy made some politicians somewhere some cash and got them some votes, I'm sure. Got those mid term elections coming up!

I'm not a religious person. I have no problem with what people want to believe in, if that's what makes their lives whole...good for them. However, when you are believing in an imaginary guy in the sky, no matter what religion it is, and you use that to insight violence, death, and destruction...that's PROBABLY not what that "God" wants. There are evil people who use religion as a weapon as opposed to using it as a means of faith and healing.

If God really existed I'm sure he would have fried this *****e bag with a lightning bolt by now.

Did I tell you how delicious ferrets are? Flaming ferrets taste like barbecue chicken.

Deja vu, dude! And I'm not saying they do. I'm just looking for some discussion from their side of the issue. I find it interesting that with an issue like this, people on both sides would like to voice their opinions. We've seen that people on the "No, I don't think he should burn the Quran" have to say, but we have not heard from the people who feel that he should. I would love to hear what they have to say, I'd like to know why they agree with the Pastor. However, I have to say, their silence only makes me more curious.

Don't forget about the other aspect of 9/11 in 1814 because it's a lesson Americans need to remember about unity and tolerance, and the national anthem. Plus another day when a major American city along the Eastern Sea Board was attacked - Baltimore.

You really need to work on posting the YouTube videos.

Now, here's the URL for the video you posted.

The part in bold and red is the only part you need to put in between the [YT] tags.

There are lots of videos up today of people burning the quran. The fact that none of these get any attention and yet this one pastor had leaders from all over the world calling him on the phone and inviting him to "negotiations" shows that this whole thing was just a media circus. Lots of qurans were burned today, just like lots of bibles and American flags are burned all the time all over the world. The only reason why this one man and his church matters is because the media tells us we're supposed to care. The media also owns a lot more of the blame for all of the protests occuring in the middle east. None of those people over there care about any of the other burnings that happened today, because the news probably didn't even reach them. There's no reason why the media needed to make an international sensation out of the action of one man and his tiny congregation other than because it gets ratings and distracts people from stories that are actually relevant.
