For People Who Have Not Read The Book

I dont think its a matter of having read the book or not, I think it's a matter of the general public being ****ing ******ed. I heard someone in the theatre that I saw Watchmen at say, before the movie began, that Watchmen looks like "a cross between X-Men and 300" and I was pretty much face-palming right then and there.

I am starting to get really annoyed by people complaining the movie is so confusing when they haven't even read the book. (No on the boards, people I know) I went to it with a good friend of mine and kept having to answer his questions for almost every scene. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING WATCHING THE MOVIE AND HAVE NOT YET READ IT, please, please read it, it will make so much more sense to you and will make the movie twice as enjoyable. Thank you.
I knew absolutely nothing about the story before I saw and loved every minute of it.

From some of the reactions from people who have read it....I may avoid it on purpose. Quite a few of them are the ones that don't like it. I would rather continue to love the movie given a choice.

Read the book. Given the choice between loving the movie or hating the movie and loving the book...trust me...love the book. It's still a phenomenal adaption on so many levels.

It has really bloody annoyed me that people are giving it bad reviews due to the fact that they have not read the graphic novel. IT SERIOUSLY PISSES ME OFF! I pity the bloody general public who are damn confused by the whole story and have not taken a moment to truly cherise what has been brought to the screen.

yeah I am definitely with you on that note. I adore the graphic novel. Its hard to listen to people who believe there is a sequel coming out....lol. Its so damn lame.

This

I don't think the problem with people having not read the GN wsn't that they found it confusing, but that the film was completly different to what they were expecting. Instead of an action movie, they got a talky character piece.

I would advise people to read the GN before seeing the movie, but only so they know what to expect

You seriously should have punched them in the face for saying that. I am glad I have not bumped into anybody with that point of view. :funny:

What I find really funny is that I haven't heard anything negative about the movie from people who haven't read the book, it the people who have read the book who have the biggest complaints about it.

all I've ever gotten from people who hadn't read the book who saw it was absolute indifference

Alan Moore c***-suckers. All of them.

I am honsetly against people who have not read the graphic novel, sure I can tolerate it but I don't like it. The movie was super sick.:woot:

I'll agree that he's a fantastic writer, as he is. The tone of many of his more popular works tends to be too depressing for my tastes however.

I haven't read the book & I wasn't confused once during the movie.

For real, you have to be an idiot to be confused by it.

It's not a confusing movie.

Yes, but this is also the modern general audience in America, so... Basically anything that doesnt involve Miley Cyrus singing her ****** songs or The Jonas Brothers not wearing shirts, has a little too though much thought put into it for America's liking.

It's clearly not advertised to the Disney Channel group though, so who cares?
