...I'm sure some of you have seen the ads for that Southern music collection "Goin' South (ga-hick!)" Now, by no means do I think a lot of these musicians are good, but there is one song I've been trying to find the title to, probably the only good song on there besides whatever Steppenwolf track they have. It's the song that plays right after the Georgia Satellites "Keep your hands to yourself", during the "where to send your money" screen.

What is that called? Someone help me out here.

God, Texans are weird.

By no means do you think a lot of those musicians are good? Well piss on you :down

You obviously haven't listened to enough of the Marshall Tucker Band or the Allman Brothers Band, their music is a lot more complex than you think :o

You couldn't listen to the live version of In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed off of Live At The Filmore East and tell me they're bad musicians(talking Allman Bros. here).

I've seen the ad, what are some lyrics to the song you want?

It's not just Texas, Virginia has those commercials too.

Tennessee also has these commercials. There not just isolated to one area.

Yes we do. I'm fixin' to kick some yankee ass. :cmad:

Oh, come now. I didn't mean it like that. I don't like the particular bands that have on here, that's all. I do like the Fab T-birds though. And, Wes Jean, Monkey Bass and all of those guys.

Well, there's not many lyrics from what I heard. It's just a cool beat to some guy saying something that rhymes to "ramalama."

Yeah that would indeed be Black Betty by Ram Jam..pretty good song

whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
Black betty had a child (bam-ba-lam)
The damn thing gone wild (bam-ba-lam)
she said, "I'm worryin' outta mind" (bam-ba-lam)
the damn thing gone blind (bam-ba-lam)
I said oh, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)

oh, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
She really gets me high (bam-ba-lam)
You know that's no lie (bam-ba-lam)
She's so rock steady (bam-ba-lam)
And she's always ready (bam-ba-lam)
whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)

Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
She's from birmingham (bam-ba-lam)
Way down in alabam' (bam-ba-lam)
well, she's shakin' that thing (bam-ba-lam)
boy, she makes me sing (bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, black betty (bam-ba-lam)
