So who will run for President in 2008?

Sorry, let me make you happy Matt:

Adolf Hitler will take the GOP nomination, naming Heinrich Himler his VP. Hitler will accuse the moderate Hilary Clinton of being a liberal hack, and the people too stupid to see through Hitlers charm offensive, will vote him into office, ignoring the pleas of those who are obviously much more knowledgeable about their lives, than they themselves are.

Hitler, like Bush, will blow up the world killing tons of the soldiers that voted for him....ignoring the peril to their own lives.

:)

As I've explained, I don't see him going after it so soon. Who do you think will run for Republican TT?
OH... OK, sorry about that. Its hard to keep up with all you fast thinkers/posters. ;)

For the GOP I think McCain, Giuliani, and possibly Schwarzenegger. Can't rule out Cheney either.

hillary clinton for the democrats, cheney or mccain for the republicans

Schwarzenegger will never be able to run unless there is a constitutional change, where 3/4 of the country will have to vote "for" the change.

McCain won't win the nomination for his party. I just feel that the conservative base doesn't feel he's far enough to the right.

Even I like him. And that's crazy.

My predictions are:

Democratic:

Hillary Clinton

Indipendant:

Jesse "The Body" Ventura

Republican:

Maybe Jeb Bush. I doubt it, but maybe.

God damn right!

I really want to see John Tierney run. I would LOVE to see a bi-partisan ticket of McCain/Tierney though that would never happen. Mitt Romney will run, but he'll get nowhere. He has proven himself inept. Massachusetts is fed-up with his oppertunistic bull****. His record is pathetic and he makes an ass of himself every time he opens his mouth. I don't know about Guilliani. He may run, but he comes off as far too scripted. The only time he ever seemed sincere infront of an audience was during 9/11. Jeb Bush? You have gotta be kidding me. The reason that George jr. has done better than his father is because he is far more likable. Jeb is a sleazebag and is far too much like his father to get elected. Colin Powell's career is most likely dead. He has too many skeletons in his closet and no support from his party. Hillary Clinton might run, but I hope to all that is good that she won't. She is a *****, a failure of a politician, and everything that is wrong with the democratic party. Obama probably won't run next election, but I wouldn't be suprised if he was the first black president (well, yeah I would be suprised, but not as much). He is an increadible public speaker, a born leader, and a remarkable uniter. My choice is John Tierney. Yeah, he's from Mass... oooooh no not THAT state. However, he is NOTHING of a Massachusetts Linberal. He is a strong, intelligent, and relatable man. He is not an elite. He lives in Salem, right next to me. He has strong convictions and is elequent in his arguments. He doesn't back down easy and he has won the support of those that don't agree with him because he fights for everybody's interests not a special one. He is one of the most refreshing politicians I know. He is what the Democratic party needs.

I want to run for the Peace, Love, and Ice Cream Party (Ben & Jerry's)

Rick Santorum - the ultra-conservative junior senator from PA will probably go for it...however he is cocky, arrogant, and a biggot...he won't win.

This guys is a true idiot. He wouldnt even win PA if he ran for President. How he even got elected to the Senate in this state is beyond me.

Tell me about it. I think Senator John Heniz's son, Chris Heinz is going to run against him in 2006 (I believe that is when he is up for re-election)...and Senator HEinz was loved in PA, democrat or republican, we all loved him. It was a tragedy when he died.

I believe Senator Heinz would've been President, and the day will come when his son Chris (who is just 31 right now) will fulfill his father's legacy and be President.

Personally i think political parties are very overrated and childish why can't people decide on something after they think about it for a little while for god sakes i think it is very sad that the only U.S. president not to havve a political party was George Washington. But back to my point anyone that makes a decision before a topic arises is a da** fool sorry to say that but it is true be a human being and let it swirl around in that thing on top of your neck before you make a decision but that's just me i'll talk to you guys later:up:

Ventura already stated his intentions to run, and Donald Trump is his #1 financial backer. Should be veryyy interesting.

I'm kind of hoping for another Bush in the White House or that the Constitution is amended to allow Arnold to run. He's been a citizen for long, long time, has done a lot for this country, and if he can be governor, why can't he be President??? I think he's moderate and would do well internationally too.

As long as it's not a liberal democrat, I'm happy.

He would get my vote.

I personally am not going to Rule out Al Gore. Since 2000. The people. as a whole have changed there tune about him.

John Mccain is a definate, & that is where my vote is going.

Jesse Ventura - He is the only wild card right now. He is the only one that Could take my McCain vote. I need to see what his politics are first.

Hillary - I am still not quite sure about. But make no mistake. If she does run. Bill will be her pick for VP. Mark it!

I also think that the Republican party has shot themselves in the foot by not being more outspoken against Bush, because of this I think they will lose no matter who they pick to run. It's sad because there are alot of good Rep. out there.

I am really interested in the elections this fall. It's going to be a good measureing stick on where the people stand on the Rep. party.

No matter what it is going to be AWESOME! simply because Bush won't be back!

I highly doubt the Democrats will back Hillary Clinton for the presidency. After losing in both 2000 and 2004, the party will have to back someone who has the ability to win. Hillary is disliked by too many, and nominating her could result in a third loss for the party.

I think former Virginia Governor Mark Warner will win the party's nomination. He's a southern governor with charisma and a record for success. He is well liked in Virginia, even a year after he left office. If he gets the nomination, there's no doubt that he'd pick up a few more Southern states, quite possibly West Virginia, Missouri and Ohio (which isn't a "Southern" state so much as a Red State).

Bill Richardson and Tim Vilsack are also possibilities, if the party seeks a New Democrat for the ticket. Richardson, though, will face opposition because of his Hispanic heritage and his less-than-flattering way of getting things done. Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold is also a strong possibility because of his opposition on almost every bill or idea presented by the Bush Administration. But someone like Feingold or even Barack Obama could spell disaster for 2008. The only Senator who I can see winning both the primaries and the election is Indiana Senator Evan Bayh, but I doubt he'll get the nomination. Al Gore could be a possibility, only I really do believe that he has no intention to run again for the presidency.

Mark Warner should be the nominee, with Tom Vilsack, Evan Bayh or Bill Richardson as VP contenders.
